my wait for tomorrow comment was in reference to the flyers front office. I dont want a NASH deal....mo fo makes too much money for too long screw that lol.... Get Parise for that price.

Oh ok lol. Honestly think we will get a Whitney/Doan type of player. Older but productive. Parise is in to much of a bromance with Sid to come here

Garrison will fetch more then that and, frankly, he's not worth it.

IF they can get Ryan for Read + a 1st, it's a no brainer. If the price is Voracek & Read+, a big no thanks.

IMO if Doan has any interest in coming to Philly, he's the best fit for this roster out of the options available via FA or trade. What he can bring to this team in terms of leadership and experience is invaluable.

I'm meh on Suter for the same reason. Can he anchor a 1st pairing? He's been paired with the best Dman in the NHL for the past few years. Remember, Carle looked great when he knew Pronger would cover up his flaws.

Dont think Suter will be here. I like where we are on Defense. We could sign a Depth Defense for injuries.
Voracek resigning should be our NUMBER 1 priority.

Don't worry about Voracek. He's going nowhere. Nobody signs restricted free agents. They cost too much. He's a Flyer still unless they trade his rights.

This is my short list.


Defense - KEEP IT the way it is. We have a great D just too banged up last year. Bring Gus up and let him have Carle's role. Let Carle walk.

Sign Voracek - 3m

Sign Shane Doan - 4-5m - you guys know since he said he was going to test the market I BOUNCED on him. I dont care that hes 35... like i said in other posts and like even in this thread 25yncounting said... the leadership he brings, and the presence in the locker room. Not to mention his play style and the fact that he always gives his all, just a lover of the game of hockey. I enjoy Doan.

If you really can get away with getting Ryan for a 1st + Read like Sam Carchidi was suggesting then jump on that in a heartbeat - Read = 900k Ryan = 5.1m so +4.2 for Ryan.

Assuming all that goes down lets go high end here. 5m for Doan - 4.2 for Ryan - 3 for Voracek - 1m Leighton = 13.2 and you still have money for AHL.

BHAM... why bother tomorrow I just predicted what Homer is doing....
