Blackhawks accept. Montador had no place on our current roster as we have a young dman in Olsen who can do much of what he did for us last season. We also get a very good goalie spec in Janus.

    Nice doing business BJR

I accept as well. We get a D we're probably going to buy out and deal a goalie from which we have great depth now with Lehtonen and Lindback/Tokarski. Picking up Danault and Clendening is huge for us since both those players have big potential and fill positions of weakness for us (being puck moving D and some more grit/penalty killing/leadership in the bottom 6). Danault can probably step in right away on the 3rd line if a space opens.

Nice working with joey as well.

    Team: Panthers
    Player: Scottie Upshall
Reason: Scottie, were trying to send you home. The Flames have been a team that has been very intrested in you this whole offseason, they are looking for someone with your grit, leadership and determination to teach there younger players. They have made huge strides in adding young players who are ready to go now. You have been all over the map in your short career and we finally want you to be able to be close to home. If you approve the move you will only be a few hours from all your friends and family. The Flames really want you to have a huge leadership role. Thanks for your time Scottie and we hope to hear from you soon.

    Scottie will waive.

    Team: Calgary Flames:
    Players: Mark Giordano

Dear Mark, we have a deal in place to send you to your hometown of the Toronto Maple Leafs. They have an awesome young team with countless young players ready to compete and with your help they should win. You will be closer to your family and friends in Toronto and would love it there.

Mark is stunned. He wanted to stay in Calgary and the only place be would have considered waiving for is his hometown of Toronto. He has accomplished so much on and off the ice in Calgary and it is tough for him to leave. But to go home and be closer to his family means the world to him. He will waive and embrace Toronto.

    Trade #75: Leafs - Flames -- ACCEPTED

    Flames get:

    Cody Franson
    Stuart Percy
    Jussi Rynnas (7.5D)
    Kyle Beach (7.0C)
    Gregg Mckegg (7.0C)

    Leafs get:

    Mark Giordano

Reasoning: I know it's an overpayment, but I'm going to pair Mark up with Liles to make the perfect pair. It'll round up my defense to..

    Phaneuf - Gunnarsson
    Hjalmarsson - Gardiner
    Giordano - Liles

Panthers accpet, this is a cap dump and i really like Jackman, i think he can bring some of what Upshall does at a lot cheaper price

    Trade #76 Islanders-Panthers -- ACCEPTED

    Isles receive:

    Dmitry Kulikov (2.000 M)
    Quinton Howden (7.0 B)
    Alex Petrovic (7.0 C)

    Cats receive:

    Mark Streit (4.100)
    Jason Clark (6.5 C)

Isles accept. Streit is one year from beign a UFA and coming off a season where he was very inconsistent and poor defensively at times. We feel liek we found a good fit for him in Florida and were gettign good value back. A good young defenseman who was picked 14th overall in 2009, and then 2 othervery solid prospects in Howden who was 25th overall in 2010 and Petrovic who was 36th overall in 2010.

    Good working with BG here
