Davis trade was unprotected first cause Davis was a bad contract. But they traded for that pick from a team that got that pick from the Knicks. I dont see us gathering up first rounders. I see us parting with one with a expiring Beno for a win now like Millsap,Jefferson.....

well id rather try to get a top draft pick if possible with beno's expiring and a young big with potential in trade but would not mind a trade of edpiring beno and a future first for milsap or jefferson not sure who id rather have i think id take milsap even with us having 3 pf's already

We would have to throw more salary into the deal if we take on Jefferson.

    Beno $7,810,000

    Jefferson $15,000,000

    Millsap $7,200,000

we'll if we are resigning faget *** ilyasova we wont need milsap might as well try to get jefferson hell if we do sign ilyasova we should trade him n beno for big al that would be perfect!!!!
also read the bulls are trying to trade or release cj watson pick him up than

    jennings/watson
    ellis/lamb
    harris/dunleavy/lrmbm
    henson/udoh/sanders
    jefferson/dalembert

that would be a nice line-up with alot of front court depth!

So my pipe dream for next offseason is that we somehow get a a very high draft pick either by simply getting lucky, trading Ellis, or even sucking it up for a year and drafting Shabazz.

I know I sound like a broken record but we need him bad. Ellis is NOT a long term solution at the 2, and I even really like him.

Muhammad is the type of guy that can change a franchise, he is that good. Plus he won't care about the small market stuff.

It will be hard to land a lottery pick with no protection in a trade. Also were just good enough to be very late lottery and not good enough for playoffs. Well this year we could be 8th seed. Maybe better depending on other teams and injuries.

Alright so it's been dead in here.

I want to make this statement clear right now.

We need to draft Jamaal Franklin.

SG, San Diego St.- 6'5" 205

Not an elite shooter by any means, but I'm confidant that will come with some minor technique chnages.

Plays with heart, a mean streak and that is what Milwaukee lacks right now. Most of all though, he wont hinder Jennnings development, because in the end I truly believe Brandon Jennings will be the closer for this team, mark my words.

Franklin plays well w/o the ball unlike Monta Ellis. Defensivley he will need some grooming by Mr. Skiles but right now he gets matched up against 4's in college so it's tough to really get a good look on D. Like many players nowadays, simply needs to garner more effort into the defensive end.

Most importantly though, he keeps getting better, and he is very motivated.

Yah, I think he'll be rising like Kawhi Leonard did.

Even if it is early to draft him I don't care. He is an effort player, a spark and thats what we need.

I'm not going to lie, I've never heard of this dude from SD St, but I'll definately keep an eye on him. Like I just posted in a different thread though, I think we need some more scorers on this team though. I feel what really hurts us is that Jennings and Ellis are asked to do too much offensively that if one or both of them struggle, we are going to be in trouble that game. I hope Tobias develops into more of a scorer, but he's still raw and needs time.

Thats why I want this guy. He averaged 17 pts a game last year and still isn't even a great outside shooter.

I think along with scoring we also need some excitement. Someone who can catch an alley oop and throw it down, or just make a cut and throw down a thunderous dunk. Sounds stupid but we need reasons to get people out of their seats.

Or actually get people in the seats. But I'm not sure what I think of this team yet. I'm not completely ready to give up on the Ellis and Jennings experience. I think we do need a more well rounded guard that can spot up and things, but I still think we need a guy who can create his own shot too. I don't think any of our big guys are really going to be able to do that. I'm up in the air on Harris yet, and Jennings and Ellis can, but I think there's an assumption that one will be gone (presumably Ellis).

I think the worst thing we can do for Jennings though is go back to the days where he really is the only one who can create and our other guys are only spot up shooters at best. We put too much pressure on him, and then everytime the shot clock runs low, he has to do something to try to get a shot off. Like I said, I'm don't know anything about this dude for SD St, but it sounds like he isn't just a shooter.

Your right. Thats too much to ask of Jennings. At least right now. I like this kid Franklin because he can finish at the rim. He works hard and rebounds the ball.
