One possibility over-looked with the signing of Schneider is that they now have him signed to a very very affordable contract for three years, something almost any team in the NHL would want to take on if the Canucks have to trade him and not Luongo. Gillis just increased Schneider's value.
Ink I was thinking about that. Schneider has a much easier contract to move, he's younger, so he does have a ton of value. It's not a forgone conclusion that Luongo gets traded. Just highly likely.
