Pathetic. Sadly i will probably never make it to candlestick park to see a game because of these occurrences. Don't think i could enjoy the game knowing that at any minute i might get shanked.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll called it a "bonus Monday" practice as his players returned from a weekend off with fresh legs.

Following the session inside team headquarters in Renton, Carroll assigned his team to watch "Monday Night Football" between the Lions and Bears. Seattle plays at Detroit on Sunday, and Carroll believes there is value getting an introduction to the opponent through the television broadcast. The Seahawks also face Chicago this season.

Cornerback Walter Thurmond's long journey back from a broken leg is nearly complete. The former Oregon Duck is eligible to come off the team's physically unable to perform list. Thurmond practiced Monday and told reporters afterward he is eager to have coaches trust him enough to play on Sunday.

Carroll said guard John Moffitt practiced but wasn't sure whether his knee injury had progressed enough to play this week. Receiver Doug Baldwin was held out of the workout with an ankle injury.
