Celtics SG Ray Allen MIGHT take his talents to South Beach

Ray Allen announced he will sign with the Heat.
June 27 Celtics Blog "Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA The general consensus around the NBA is that Ray Allen will sign with Miami. "Barring a change, he'll join the Heat," said a league source. First, as always, take anything from Hoopsworld with a grain of salt. At the same time, this isn't the first time we've heard Ray linked with Miami. They reportedly covet him, and it's easy to see where there could be some mutual interest. Obviously, the Heat are the shortest path to a ring for Ray. In addition, maybe Ray wants to feel wanted. While the Heat have reportedly been after Ray for awhile now, the Celtics have been kind of lukewarm about his return.
He will be the type of bench player that the Heat need. Where do the Heat keep on getting this Cap Space?!!

LOL, Ray wants to be "wanted". Go retire already bone spurs Allen! You have nothing to prove and you and your momma on the sidelines are getting real annoying.

If Ray wants to go there, why not?

At the end of the day, it all starts with where Allen wants to go.

At this point, he will be nothing more than a nice bench player who can give Wade some nice time off. Good pickup for the Heat.

Allen has entered the point in his career where all he cares about is adding another ring. The Heat present the best opportunity, he has enough money. Obviously dip **** fans will hate the Heat for this, while totally disregarding that it happens on a yearly basis with contending team, that is, getting an aged star for cheap who just wants to be on the ride to the championship.

oh god, I just realized JB is going to throw in HOF'er Ray Allen into LeBron's help next season. Fond of throwing in decrepit players who used to be awesome as an argument to bring down LeBron. Course, with Bron winning a title without HCA, I am very curious to see where he stands on him going forward.

If true, this will be typical. Most of the older players will want to play for the Heat. Plus old people love Florida.

Would have been cool to see him on another team instead of joining the team he couldnt beat. But Miami is lucky..guess he will be a 6th man where Lebron moves to PG and Allen is on the wing.

He won't have play big minutes and a crunch time lineup of lebron wade boh ray and chalmers/battier is lethal.
