Colorado Avalanche Official 2012 Offseason/Free Agency Thread

An official 2012 offseason/FA thread. I'll update this thread as much as possible with things concerning FA talks and minor signings so we don't have to have a clutter of useless threads. Also use this thread to discuss who you want in free agency, how much/how many years you'd be willing to commit, and what impact you think it would have on the 2012 Avalanche and beyond.

Let's hope they're ready to land some players that will contribute and push this team to the playoffs next year!

According to capgeek: $32,341,667. And this already factors in the O'Brien signing.

They have a lot of money to throw at a big time player. It all comes down to pulling the trigger.

A lot of teams have money this offseason though, so they will have stiff competition in that department.

The resigning of Downie should be good. If I remember correctly, the line of O'reiley, Landy, and Downie (if that was the line) was the most productive on the team....
