You traded away your best forward and your best dman for younger guys and specs...improved for the future? Yes. In the present? No. Your team will finish in the bottom 5 of the league.

There is no way a veteran player, possibly getting his last contract would choose playing for a lottery team over a team that can contend for basically the same money, when he's already made millions. If you offered $1M or $1.5 more...i could see it, but not over 350K per year.

This mock preaches realness realness realness...you didn't a make realitic case at all...you referred to a player as a top pairing" guy and offered him bottom pairing money...any agent would laugh at that. Then lied about my team?

It's more unrealitic than anything I've seen in this mock...i think there needs to be a FA committee as much as a trade committee.

You lost Parenteau and Tavares. That's a 65 and a 85 point player. You also lost your best defenseman. Look at the players that you brought in:

Tomas Kopecky - He really isn't that good. There's a reason why he was on waivers. 3rd liner at best.

TJ Oshie - Okay, 2nd liner. He's about a 50 point player on the second line. He'll be a top guy for you, and will be the guy that the opposing teams focus on. He could very likely struggle.

Tuomo Ruutu - We have a 30 point year. Then go towards a 50. Then a 30. Then a 50. Then a 30. What the hell can you expect out of him? Inconsistent.

Marcel Goc - Solid third liner. I actually really like his game. He does get injured a lot though. 50 games is probably what you can expect.

Dmitri Kulikov - #3 defenseman or so. Young, still makes mistakes.

Sheldon Souray - I'd say a #3 defenseman. Dallas' defenseman simply suck.

I think you got worse. You brought in one legit top six forward, and neither of the guys you brought in are top pairing guys.

For the record, I'm not calling shaiza a cheater...I'm saying he made a bad decision and not one that is in line with realism at all.

The Blackhawks top 4 consists of Keith, Seabrook, Oduya, and Nick Leddy. Now I don't know about you, but that is a much better top 4 than the Islanders.

The signing gives Souray more money and a place where he knows he can be a top 4. Winning may be important, but money talks ALL THE TIME.

Old players get this reputation of only signing with a contender. If the right deal comes along, they will sign regardless. Check out Jagr, Whitney, and etc.

    1. My best dman is Travis Hamonic. Anyone who thinks mark Streit is still a legit #1 defenseman is nuts. He played no defense this year, and when he tried, it was ugly.

    2. I don't know where my team will finish. We'll see. We finished 4th to last last year so I am really just hoping for improvement.

    3. He's 35 and still a very solid player. I don't think this will be his last contract. But even if it is, he played for the Oilers for 5 years and then signed with the Stars, who were not considered a contender either. The Islanders aren't much different.

    4. Don't make **** up. I never called him a top pairing player, I said he would be on my top pairing. And in real life he's making #2-3 money at a cap hit of 3.667. I offered him a deal I thought was fair and a deal that beat everyone elses. You're just dumb for looking that much into things.

    5. I never lied about your team. Find where I lied and Ill trade you Souray for a 3rd round pick. I never lied.

The depth argument is flawed...i could argue that he has more "depth" than me. Souray was going to replace Hjalmarrsson and Olsen replace Montador. He would easily get 20 minutes a night and power play minutes...maybe even on the 1st PP, which i stated.

Also, at the end of the year, when the Blackhawks are making a playoff push, he probably gets more minutes than a young guy like Leddy. When the Isles are 40 points out of the 8th seed...they are going to play young guys.

I read all of your arguments, as I do with everybody else's.

I don't think their argument was flawed. I don't know why you think your argument isn't flawed in some ways and his is flawed no matter what.

But I gave you my reasoning right there. That's that.

The Blackhawks have no direction. We have a vision of success now and in the future on LI. The Hawks have dealt away top prospects Brandon Saad and Jermey Morin, young up and coming goalie Corey Crawford, multiple other prospects, young superstar Patrick kane, their 1st and 2nd round picks this year, good young players in Frolik, Bolland, and Hjalmarsson,

You're implying that i traded away my picks so my future is not bright....its paramount to lying.

And in real life, if you are going to staight up tell a player you plan on giving him top pairing minutes or playing time...his agent is going to ask for top pairing money...or at least for you to overpay.

    Forgot about Parenteau. My bad.

Kopecky - Solid 3rd liner. Upgrade there.

Oshie- He's 25 and just had a 55 point season. That should go up. 60 point player.

Ruutu- I guess. Let's be fair though. 08- 54 points, 09- 35 points in 54 games, 10- 57 points, 11- 34 points in 72 games. Even his worst season, last year, he had 18 goals and is physical and contributes in all facets of the game.

Goc- Agreed. Im a big fan of him as a 3rd line C, btu he has to stay healthy, only played more than 70 games once since 07.

Kulikov- Agreed. #3 right now, has #1 potential and plays solid D as well as good on offense.

Souray- Can be a great PP guy, underrated defnsively, good veteran #3.

You're right since i forgot abotu Parenteau, but with the Cole, Souray, and Kulikov acquisitions, Ive still upgraded my D even though I lost Streit because I also got to get rid of Staios and Jurcina and Eaton, all garbage. And on O I did lose JT and PA which is tough but I added a lot fo depth and secondary scoring which was the Isle sbiggest problem last year, our 1st line was the onyl one that scored. This year, our 1st will prob score a lot less, but Ill get more production out of 2 3 and 4 definitely

No. I said you traded away top picks, acquired new picks, traded away a lot of good middle tier players, traded away Kane, acquired othe rtop tier players=no direction. I wasnt implying you ahd no future.

And good. Im really glad you know what REAL agents and players and owners and GM's woudl think. Maybe you should take Shaiza's job next game, it will be much much much mroe realistic because you know what REALLY goes on
