The day is finally here!
I like Optimized's idea. Maybe we could do a top 5 or top 10 mock and see who was the closest? If Burke makes one trade today, what would it be?
Enjoy!

1. Murray (EDM)
2. Yakupov (CBJ)
3. Galchenyuk (MTL)
4. Reinhart (NYI)
5. Forsberg (TOR)
6. Reilly (ANA)
7. Grigorenko (MIN)
8. Teruvainen (CAR)
9. Dumba (WPG)
10. Ceci (TBAY)
This (assuming the order stays the same) is my guess for how the top 10 turns out. First team to make a trade Philly. Burke will make one big trade.
EDIT: If burke makes one trade today it will be for the 2nd pick.
1. Edm- Nail Yakupov
2. CBJ- Filip Forsberg
3. Mtl- Alex Galchenyuk
4. NYI- Ryan Murray
5. Tor- Mikhail Grigorenko
6. Ana- Griffin Reinhart
7. Min- Matt Dumba
8. Car- Morgan Reilly
9. Wpg- Teuvo Teravainen
10. TB- Jacob Trouba
I dont think Burke will make a trade today, but if he does I can see it being a big one. Maybe Luongo.
BTW, I'm always way off on these predictions, but they are fun so please dont beat me up too badly over them.
1. Edm- Nail Yakupov
2. CBJ- Filip Forsberg
3. Mtl- Alex Galchenyuk
4. NYI- Ryan Murray
5. Tor- Griffin Reinhart
6. Ana- Matt Dumba
7. Min- Mikhail Grigorenko
8. Car- Morgan Reilly
9. Wpg- Radek Faksa
10. TB- Jacob Trouba
If Burke doesn't take Grigorenko at #5 if the top-4 shakes out this way, I will be pissed, but I can see him passing on Grigorenko...
I don't think Burke will make a trade either, but if he does I hope it is MacArthur and #35 overall for another mid-first rounder this year to grab a guy like Gaunce.
Alright here goes:
1. Nail Yakupov
2. Ryan Murray
3. Alex Galchenyuk
4. Griffin Reinhart
5. Filip Forsberg
6. Matthew Dumba
7. Morgan Reilly
8. Carolina Deals it -
9. Teuvo Teravanian
10. Jacob Trouba
To be honest I really have no idea. I think deals will be made to change up the order. My guess is as good as anyones.

We've been trying to figure out for months how the drafts gonna go down. I woke up today and I'm more confused about how it will go down then ever lol. I just hope there's a **** load of action tonight. Trades for big names, picks swapped, maybe Burke can get mic'd up and do to another GM what he did to Bryan Murray in the Kadri draft lol. Who knows? Time to put a case of beer on ice in a little bit. I just hope we come out of this draft with either Yakupov(in a trade up obviously) Forsberg, Galchenyuk or Grigorenko. Although I have my doubts with Burke taking him for some reason. He should if he's there. Anyways the draft can't start soon enough!
It's like Christmas freakin' day!![]()
Just for the hell of it..

Boys there's probably a pretty good chance that one of Dansk, Vasilevski or Subban will be around by the time we use our 2nd rounder(35th). I'd be on board with taking whichever one of them is there at 35. Might not happen, but there's a shot.
, dreger says it could be a quiet day today because not many big names avaliable and not many teams interested... so WTF has he been talking about these past few days
EDM Murray
CLB Yakubov
MTL Forsberg
NYI Reinhart
TO Galchenyuk
ANH Dumba
MIN Grigorenko
CAR Reilly
WPG Ceci
TB Teravanian
I do see trades happening to shake up the order however. EDM will get something for not taking Yakubov.
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Asking prices are too high? Deals need to be right for both sides. Biggest issue, players are overvalued by their respective teams nowadays. Hard to make a deal when asking prices are over the moon. I'd rather wait for a good deal than be impatient for an overpayment.
There's a possibility now that Yak may drop to Mtl if Edmonton doesn't select him...
I'd be pretty shocked if Edmonton doesn't pick Yakupov.
Montreal apparently wants to take Teravainen at #3.
We may get Galchenyuk after all
