Never been there. I drive by it all the time. Just figured out it was a sandwich place like a month ago. It looks like a corner store. Good reviews on yelp. I'll have to try it out soon.

dont procrastinate, you will be sprung guaranteed... i call in my orders... they make fresh baked cookies that are phenomenal too, and have an extensive selection of microbrews... The look on the outside is very unassuming....

i call in my orders, its not uncommon to wait more than 30 minutes if you dont .... its crack cocaine up in there!

i have a buddy that drives from the other side of town on his lunch break once per wk to get the bbq, another buddy who is italian and less than half way done with the meatball sandwich said it was the best sandwich he ever had.

Someone give me input on my career dilemma.

    current job pros:
-Most stable job in the company
-max $73k with zero overtime. over $100k within reach with overtime.
-excellent union. Although I hate unions.

    Current job cons:
    -heavy, heavy use of chemicals.
-work in dark, cramped spots 6+ hours a day.
    -possibly layoff still there.
-possible to be designated overtime any weekend. Up to twelve hours a day weekdays
    -limited ability for advancement

    New job pro:
    -computer job
    -no overtime required but optional
-not physically, mentally demanding or draining.
    -more professional dress attire.
    -Ability to move up.
    -looks great on resume
    -starting pay more than current
-no max pay. Guaranteed 2.5% yearly pay increase

    New job con:
    -one of least stable jobs
    -no max pay ceiling.
    I'm In.

Officially going to the Rainier's game tonight. Helllllllo $9 tickets and "dollar deals on hot dogs, chips, ice cream and coffee." So stoked.

Also going to play Fugitive after that if you guys are familiar with the game, and I'm planning on seeing the premiere of Ted at midnight.

    New job. Here's why:
-Protect your health. You don't want to wake up someday (probably soon) with a f-ed up back and in the long term possible cancer, loss of brain cells, etc. I mean, for me I'd be sold right there.
-Sounds like with the new job despite less job security at Boeing, it would increase your earning power and job opportunities with other companies. If you're laid off, you'd have an easier time finding new work, and possibly something you end up liking more than what you're doing anyway.

    Go with your gut...
WHat about looking around at other companies, job opportunities that meet more of your needs?

Often times companies will offer multiple positions to choose from to keep you from exploring better opporunities elsewhere...It sounds like you are a valuable employee if you are happy with where your at than great, but there could be better opportunities that you are not aware of.

why is the second job so unstable?

personally i like stability. and you are making excellent money now.

but there is the fact that the new job is easier and you get a raise right away.

question: if you get the new job then get laid off from it, can you get another job in Boeing or are you done there then?
