Under the new CBA, all teams are granted the opportunity to cut one of their players with no further financial obligation toward that player. In other words, any one player cut here (and it is one per team) counts nothing toward your team's payroll.

The following teams have already exercised this provision and may not amnesty another player:

Amnestied players will not automatically be dispersed into the free agent pool. If a team with cap space has interest in an amnestied player, the GMs of that team will PM all three commissioners (ebbs, Corey, and myself) with their blind bid for that player. If you don't understand how this process works or have any questions, feel free to ask one of us what the hell I'm talking about.

Now that you know the decisions of the players with opt out clauses, you can make your decisions as to who to use your amnesty provision on if you desire. Remember this is strictly optional.

Also a reminder you will post who you wish to cut using the amnesty clause in this thread. You will PM me, Corey, and ebbs a bid for an amnestied player if #1 you want that player and #2 you have the cap space to make a bid for his services. It's a blind auction and it's how the provision is covered in the new CBA.

Any player amnestied and not bid on will become an unrestricted free agent.
