Whats interesting is that our 7th round pick has 85 points in the 2011-12 season, as opposed to our 2nd round pick that had 57. Hopefully these are some good picks, but I'd would've prefered a defense-men been picked

The Avs drafted for the long-term in this draft as most likely none of these players will break camp with them but selecting an older and more mature Heard off a career high season in the OHL.

Wow, no Defensemen? Shocker, but these guys are probably a season or two away anyway. The Avalanche will probable address defense elsewhere.
