    Player: Brooks Orpik
    Team: Florida Panthers
Reason: Brooks, we have an offer on the table right now that sends you to the Ducks. In Anaheim you will be playing on the top pair with young stud offensive star defensmen Keith Yandle. You will also be joining a team with 2 of the best players in the NHL in Perry and Getzlaf. You won defensive player of the year for the Pens in 09/10 and the Ducks would be counting on you for that style of play. We see a lot of same in the Ducks as we did in the Pens. Strong contenders year in and year out and they have only improved there team. We hope you will decide to waive your LNTC to go to the Ducks.

Orpik is open to a move to the Ducks.

    Player: Matt Greene
    team: Panthers
Reason: Matt we have a deal in place that sends you just up the coast to Tampa. Tbay has built a strong offensive team that needs some leadership and grit on the backend. Tbay has wanted you for a long time and need someone to help insulate superstar Stamkoes. We hope you strong consider moving up the road a couple hours.

He doesn't have a clause. It's his 2nd time being traded. I will allow 2nd times.

    Player Radem Vrbata
    team Panthers
reason: Radem you have spent your best seasons playing in the Pacific divison. We have a deal in place that sends you back to your favorite divsion. You will be joining a team in Anaheim that is strongly looking for a speedy winger to play along side Perry and Getzlaf, for the Ducks you will be playing big time mins with 2 of the best players in the world. One of your former teammates in Keith Yandle will be suring up the blueline so you will know someone on the team. We feel this is a great oppurtunity for you to play top line mins. Which you wouldn't get with us. We strongly hope you decide to go back with one of the teams you know so well.

Modified NTC. Not a lot of details, but Radim will waive for a move to the Ducks.

    player Brian Boyle
    team Panthers
reason: Brian this was a very difficult descion for us. We value your play a lot and we had no plan on moving you but we got an offer that we feel would fit both parties well. You will be going back to the State where your NHL career started, we have a deal in place sending you to Anaheim. We feel this could be a good chance for you to continue your hockey career in a place that could give you some more exposure. You are a pretty bold guy and this could give you a good platform to push the You Can Play, a campaign dedicated to fighting homophobia in sports. We know this is something you feel strongly about and would give you a chance to promote a little more being so close to LA. We feel this is a great oppurtunity to take your career to the next level.

    Same case as Matt Greene.

    Brooks,
The whole offseason we've been coveting 2 stud defencemen, one that can lock down and be a shut down guy and a great offensive type one.
We have finally been able to get a amazing offer that not only keeps both parties in contention but makes us all equally stronger.
Your abilities paired with Keith Yandle will help make our defense from one of the worst last year to one of the best this year and were sure Jonas Hiller will greatly appreciate this.

We loved your tenacity in the Pens playoff run and know that with you it helps put us over the top to that elite level.

    Hey Radeem,
We really appreciated seeing your scoring outburst last year and fell in love with your game a lot. We know you'd really appreciate playing on one of our top 2 lines either with Perry and Getzlaf or Koivu and Selanne.
We expect you to match your scoring output of this past season and really help us go get that title.

    Brian,
We've been itching for a top bottom 6 player and when we heard you can be had we literally were in so much joy.
We love what you bring and the style of game you play and we know you'd be tremendous next to George Parros. You guys would help provide a nice shut down line that would cause tremendous pressure on opposing teams.
We hope you consider coming to Anaheim because we have something great brewing.

Matt, we were very upset to see LA trade you the first time, if we knew you were available we would have made you an offer then. You won't be moving far to play here and we would love to have you on our back end. You'll either be playing with Dennis Wideman or Greg Zanon, most likely Zanon and you'll be our shut down pairing. We'd love to have you here in Tampa, Matt.

So that's what you need to get with Elisha Cuthbert

Trade #111: Predators and Blue Jackets -- ACCEPTED

    To the Predators:
    Steve Mason - 2,900,000

    To the Blue Jackets:
    Nick Cousins (7.0C)

    Cousins has waived.

Preds accept. Completely no risk move for me to get a possible starting goaltender for my future. Him and Reimer will split games for me until one of them takes over.

    Trade #113: Caps-Blackhawks -- VOID

    Blackhawks trade:

    Victor Stalberg (.875)
    Nick Leddy (1.117)
    Alexander Burmistrov (1.500)
    Bobby Butler (1.050)
    Teuvo Teravainen (#8 overall pick)
    Mark McNeil (7.5C)

    Caps trade:

    Taylor Hall (3.750)

Blackhawks accept. Taylor Hall is just too hard to pass up. Nothing like doing things at the last minute.
