Ribeiro may be a little superior to Krejci offensively but Krejci is superior in his all around game and a comparison between the two doesn't really fit here IMO.

Burmistrov has the potential to be good, but an offensive Juggernaut? He has a long long way before I will agree with those bold comments.

Peverley is 29 and can play in all situations and is arguably the most versatile player the Bruins have.

I'm sorry Bran, I am not trying to be a dick or anything but I think Winnipeg wins this one big time.

    Team: Carolina Hurricanes
    Player: Sergei Gonchar
    Reason:

Mr. Gonchar, we here in Carolina have agreed in principle to acquire you from the Ottawa Senators. You will be replacing Tim Gleason on our top line and will get a chance to play with one of our younger up and comers in Justin Faulk or Jamie McBain. We ask you to waive your NTC to come down to Carolina, to be much more then just a player, but a leader on and off the ice. You will get top PP minutes here and will likely be paired on our 1st line. We ask you to come here and play out a year where we are taking the Hurricanes into a different direction.

At this point of Sergei's career, he is not interested in a move to the Hurricanes. He wants to go to a contender, if he has to move at all from Ottawa. He finds it insulting the Ottawa organization hasn't contacted him first.

No, his NMC is in effect until January where he can provide a list of 10 teams he will agree to go to

David Krejci is probably better, but Mike Riberio went for quite a bit less last night. Burmistrov is far superior to that prospect that they drafted. Alexander Burmistrov has played in the NHL for 2 years, played on the PK, and has magical hands. He was rushed though. This deal is quite a bit better than the Riberio one.

Then Little for Peverley is an upgrade for him. Little can play on the PK, PP, RW, C, and LW. He's played some time on the point on the PP too. He and Peverley are very, very similar players.

They might win the deal but is it honestly vetoable? Not at all.

I'm not changing my decision and I have provided my reason, there are still four members who can pass it so I don't know why you are freaking out over one vote.

I felt like this was a hockey trade, and while I think I win, it's certainly not that bad. Veto? Come on. I usually don't like to ***** about this since I'm usually on it, and it's harder than people realize, but seriously...?

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Mark Giordano

Reason: Mark you have been our best defensemen for the last 2 or 3 seasons and you would really help a fringe playoff team into the playoffs

Mark does not want to leave Calgary. He likes it here and thinks he could be a big part in the rebuild.

Sergei, we loved having you here in Ottawa. We feel as though you can have a great time in Carolina mentoring some of their young dmen like Jamie McBain and Ryan Murphy. They are going to have a great young core and you will be their leader and mentor. This WAS NOT a salary dump, the Hurricanes valued your leadership and skills. They want and need a player like you. So much so, they were willing to give up another leader from their team in Tim Gleason. We truly hope you accept for all parties.

    Sergei does NOT waive.

JVR is not worth the 2nd Overall and Jagr's UFA rights does not make up the difference between the 78th and 45th pick, imo

Tim, here in Toronto you don't get much playing time, and under a hard nosed coach like Dallas Eakins, we're not sure how you're going to fit into the system.

Now please hear me out. You are in a contract year this year, and unfortunately, in terms of production here in Toronto, you're not going to get much better considering you are not being given top 6 minutes here. At the moment, Bozak and Grabo are the top 6 centres, and you'll be centering Armstrong and Frattin.

You are not going to get much of a payday in FA if continuing like this. We'd like to send you to Carolina, where you will make leaps and bounds production wise. You'll be in the top 6 in Carolina and possibly on the 1st line playing with the likes of Jokinen, Sutter, Skinner etc. This should help you get your new contract, and the Canes GM was insistent that he wants you.

We appreciate you for your time here in Toronto, Tim, and we wish you the best in your future as we feel this divorce is best for both parties.

    Thanks for your time.

    T.O. RaPz--Le@f.

    Team: Carolina Hurricanes
    Player: Eric Staal
    Reason:

Eric we loved your time here, you brought us a Cup, you have had some very memorable seasons down here in Carolina. But we feel it is time to move and go into a rebuild, we have been on the cusp of the playoffs the last 2 seasons and did not make it. We do not want you to suffer down here while we go the next few years rebuilding a contender, you are in the prime of your career and we feel out of respect for you, you deserve to play for a contender. You have been dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs, a team on the brink of being a top team in the East, we know you can contribute to their team, so we wish you fair well Eric and good luck in Toronto.

Vetoing this. Boston is giving up way too much IMO. I'm sorry. I like Little but he's not even close to Krejci in any light. It's unbalanced.
