    Hartnell has a NTC.

This is closed until further notice. Next time I will assess a penalty if a trade is posted before a player waives his NTC for JerzeyFresh. 1st and last "warning."

    Team:Philadelphia Flyers
    Player:Scott Hartnell
Reason:Harty, we had a great run but it's time for us to go our separate ways. We believe you'll flourish in Toronto under their similar system and alongside Kessel. We believe Toronto is one of the best places for you to go and see no reason why you would waive your clause. It's been great having you as a Flyer but we just need to go in a different direction. Best of luck to you and thank you for everything.

Scotty Hartnell has publicly said that he hated the Leafs growing up and hates them now. His success with Claude was something he cherished as well. He would like to hear from the Toronto GM of how aggressive their offseason is going to be in terms of winning vs. rebuilding. He is leaning toward a no right now.

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Jarome Iginla
Reason: Jarome, you have been the center piece of our franchise for the last 12 years and you deserve a chance to win the Cup, we both know it wont happen in Calgary as we are in rebuild mode. You will be dealt to a playoff contender.

He would like to see the team he's being traded to before waiving. He would only waive for a playoff contender, preferably teams that made the playoffs this year.

Would you consider Anaheim? They have a great young core and had a fluke year with a bad coach, they are sure to make the playoffs this year. Especially with you on board

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Miikka Kiprusoff
Reason: Miikka we are not toally against hanging on to you but you have generated quite a bit of interest and would definately help a fringe team into the playoffs or even win with a contender

Miikka does not have a NTC anymore I believe.

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Jay Bouwmeester
Reason: It hasn't worked out for you here in Calgary and a change of scenery could put you back into the elite group of defensemen.

    Same case with Jarome.

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Alex Tanguay
Reason: Alex, you have been a solid top 6 forward since returning to Calgary, with one year left on your deal I believe you could net us a solid young player in return and have a chance to win with a contender.

Tanguay is still a bit skeptical. He is not waiving his NTC at this point. He signed with Calgary because he likes it here.

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Mike Cammalleri
Reason: Mike, we are in full rebuild mode and a player of your callibre would really help a playoff team as we have seen you are lights out in the playoffs.

Cammalleri would also like to see the team he's being traded to.

    Team: Calgary Flames
    Player: Matt Stajan
    Reason: You ****ing suck.

Matt will waive his limited NTC.

Hartnell stated he disliked former Maple Leafs players growing up. Torontos GM should be in shortly to talk to Scottie.

It's like a cult. If you love the Maple Leafs, you love 'em right til the end. If you don't like 'em, you absolutely hate them.

    Trade #3: Rangers-Blues -- ACCEPTED

    Rangers receive:

    Chris Stewart [3M]

    Cap space remaining: 17M

    Blues receive:

    Brandon Dubinsky [4.2M]

    Cap space remaining: 21M

Quintessential challenge trade, two guys who struggled last year but have shown they have the talent in the past. Stewart's younger and cheaper, while Dubi is better defensively. I felt that my other forwards and deep blue line could withstand losing that, though. Stewart could flourish with Richards and Gaborik, if that's how the lines shake out.

Pleasure doing business with Grk as always.

I agree. I really was looking to get a more natural center. While it's not who I was aiming for it works out. With Tarasenko coming over I had a way to get what I needed. Neither have NTC, and works out.

Fantastic deal guys. Dubinsky just seems like the perfect fit for the Blues. He's got the St. Louis Blues style. Chris Stewart needs a change, and New York sounds right.

Antti, we were happy to claim you last season. Unfortunately, for the both of us, it didn't work. You struggled to find your game throughout the whole season, and simply did not fit in well with us. We'd like to move forward and give some more ice time to a new group of guys. That's not fair to you. With this said, we've got a deal in place to send you to Washington, and a chance to compete for the cup. You orginally signed with Tampa Bay, whom are in the same division as Washington. We feel like this benefits both sides rather nicely.

Antti waives. He is excited at the prospect of joining Washington.

    Team: St Louis Blues
    Player: #10 Andy McDonald, C
    Reason: Dear Andy,
While you've always been a constant professional the Blues are looking to go in a different direction and would like to move you to a team where you can come in and play right away. We would kindly ask you to lift your NTC to be able to make that happen.

    Andy waives.
