I know what you mean. I made this trade, knowing that Larsson wasn't going to make or break my team, at all in this mock. Could he turn out to be great? Sure. Could he also turn out to be a dud, yup. Larsson wouldn't have had an effect on the game, but I do see the point in vetoing it.

I wasn't *****ing at all. I was simply wondering your reasoning for vetoing the trade. I wasn't sure who you thought lost. Larsson is an unproven player while he has great upside I gave up two early 2nds a proven top 6 defensemen and a rookie with great upside just like Larsson who played in the all-star game. I thought you vetoed it because I lost, that's why I asked. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

So, uh...how are we supposed to send teams compensation for RFA offer sheets if the first round of the draft is already over?

I was hoping someone would ask that on here. You would be offering that player you drafted as compensation. The pick has to be your OWN pick, not acquired in a trade and what not. You ARE allowed to trade for that prospect (if already drafted) that was chosen in your spot to offer as compensation.

People have asked why it was done this way. I did not anticipate many RFA signings happening any way. But if it must be done, that's what you would be doing.

What exactly has Nail Yakupov proven in the NHL? Would you trade him for a #3/4 defenseman, 2nd round picks, expiring 26 year old 2nd liner?

Yakupovs potential is much greater. While Larsson has great potential Coburn is already a very good defensemen in this league. And Read has potential to be very good the same as Larsson and the two 2nds even it out. I'm not arguing i won the trade but I don't think it was a fleece so lopsided that it should be vetoed.

you can't compare the potential of a forwward to the potential of a defenseman.

Not to add to the *****ing, but I thought where UFA's signed on here had no impact to what they did in real life?

I always felt like Edmonton was the best fit for Schultz. To me it was Edmonton or Vancouver.. noone else really. Edmonton just made sense though.. that team is a dynasty waiting to happen.

Of course not. Edmonton is a great fit for a young defensemen like Schultz. Especially with Ovechkin on that team now. The defensemen core is still the same.
