New to this so I have a question about ways to win. What determines the best future team & best GM? Is GM voted on by others at the end of the season?

Rick Nash has a long contract. He's gonna make sure he goes to the right team that will be contending for a long time. There is a reason Anaheim finished in the bottom 6 of the league last year. Their defense is deteriorating.

I don't think it's BS. I assessed it from purely my standpoint and understanding. Rick Nash is also from Ontario I believe, hence the Leafs being on the 5 team list. The other 4 teams were contenders.

But the biggest point? The fact that the Ducks weren't on his 5 team list in real life.

None of this is realistic whatsoever at all, so if were taking into account what kinda teams they offered to go to in real life then 95% of the trades that are going to happen or money given to FA's aren't going to happen in real life anyways so whats the point of holding back.

Also the lists aren't leaked by GM's their assumed and told by the Media who even knows if those lists are real or not??
Not to mention you said Anaheim sucked last year because their defense was atrocious, which is why were also getting a good defensemen in return and still have a ton of cap space left and assets to fill in that position in other ways.
Its not like were ways of we still have a top flight center and winger in place to. I don't get the Anaheim isn't a contender part when I can make a case saying some of those teams you mentioned on the list are debateable..

Plus by adding Nash we become contenders right away too so its not like were still ways away with him. No one thought hte Kings would make the playoffs this year and do what they did so to keep dismissing the Ducks as a playoff calibre team with Nash is really messed.

I can understand Koivu and Hejduk but a top player of Nash who publically is on the block I don't get

Wiz is an offensive d-man. You have one in Visnovsky. He doesn't change much. The point of this is to be realistic as possible. The list Nash gave is the one Howson told the media....

ya but we could slide lubomir down to the second pairing and fine someone to put with wiz we have plenty of time to do so. It's all good though I disagree with Shaiza's decision but I repsect it and him for sticking to his guns
