    Craig is 118 PA behind Trumbo, and yet only has 11 less runs created this year.

    Craig has continued to tear it up

    Stats of this moment

    AC - .313/.376/.572 - .401 wOBA, 157 wRC+
    MT - .285/.336/.573 - .370 wOBA, 136 wRC+

    Craig has even shown more power (.259 ISO to .257) which is the thing that everyone praises Trumbo for having. Craig homers .0575% of the time, Trumbo homers .0678% of the time.

    Craig is a very legit hitter, and the issue with his plate appearances, he should qualify for the batting title by seasons end. He just needs to average 3.97 PA per game the rest of the season, and he averages 4.28 thus far this season. So he should have no problem qualifying unless he gets hurt.

    Since the date this thread was created

    Allen Craig - .317/.363/.566 - 12 HR - 240 PA - 17 BB - 44 K, and the Cards are 36-21 (just sharing that part)
    Mark Trumbo - .236/.283/.436 - 14 HR - 240 PA - 12 BB - 65 K, and the Angels are 28-29.

    It's funny that they have had the exact same number of PA

    Yup! My issue with Craig was the sample size (in the bigs) was still small and Trumbo had looked like he had learned how to manage counts and control the strike zone.

    But nope!

    He is back to hacking at everything and looking lost at the plate. Meanwhile Craig is proving to just be a super polished hitter with even better power than most would think.

    Not sure why when comparing players advanced saber metrics is the thing to argue your point. There are other factors to make your choice. IMO

    Both players are very good. If Craig stays healthy would help his case in the public view. Trumbo hits monstrous bombs makes people get excited.

    I just read Jeffy stats to keep me up to date then I try to figure out the math equation .
