He has hit as well as Paul Konerko the last two weeks lol
When you extend him another 9 PA and include all of July he is at a .323 wOBA
He had a .382 wOBA in June
And he had a .485 wOBA in May
He has a .397 wOBA, 155 wRC+ on the season
and Trumbo has a .411 wOBA, 163 wRC+
So Trumbo is pulling away with these last two weeks, he has homered in 5 of his last 7 games
What's scary is Trumbo really is just learning to Hit.. Not even near a finished product yet..
Scioscia finally wised up and hit him clean up tonight.
OSU Beavers (Baseball):
I think it is awesome how crazy close these two still are, both hitting like elite hitters.
Both have been slipping a little bit
Craig - .386 wOBA, 146 wRC+
Trumbo - .390 wOBa, 149 wRC+
Trumbo in July - .269/.327/.538 - .360 wOBA, 129 wRC+
Trumbo in Aug - .150/.292/.300 - .276 wOBA, 71 wRC+
Craig in July - .264/.323/.505 - .354 wOBA, 125 wRC+
Craig in Aug - .263/263/.368 - 271 wOBA, 68 wRC+
Both dropped badly in July from their season averages and both have been horrible thus far in a week in August.
Trumbo is and probably without any doubt be the best player of the two during their careers...hands down.
19 Inning game...and the Pirates get ROBBED! Jerry Meals should get FIRED! And then just work for the Braves. What a shame for baseball.
Although this goes to Trumbo by a little, Craig definitely deserves some recognition as well. He's a very good hitter and is on his way to becoming one of the better 1b/corner outfielders in the league.
His presence has made Berkmans injury-plagued season almost forgettable.
~ Oscar Taveras ~ The next Phenom
.298/.362/.573 - .394 wOBA, 152 wRC+
.289/.345/.568 - .384 wOBA, 145 wRC+
Last two seasons
.304/.360/.555 - .392, 152 wRC+
.269/.314/.515 - .351 wOBA, 123 wRC+
Easily Trumbo still ?
Add this to Craig being better than Trumbo throughout their minor league careers
Craig - .888 OPS
Trumbo - .804 OPS
I still do not understand this 'it's obviously Trumbo, and that Trumbo will be better throughout their careers'

It is Trumbo because Trumbo plays in a bigger market.
This. Trumbo plays in SoCal and hits bombs. More flash.Originally Posted by Guppyfighter:23254536
Ok now this comparison just got freaky.. Not only are their season numbers still very similiAR BUT BOTH GUYS RECENTLY missed time with Rib injuries!
Mark Trumbo is out of Monday's lineup due to a dislocated rib on his right side.
Trumbo suffered the injury during batting practice on Sunday, but played in the game. It sounds awfully painful, but it's not believed to be serious. Consider him day-to-day for now.

weird..........ST. LOUIS • Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig is not starting tonight because of pain in his chest near his ribs, and the team does not expect him to miss much time as he recovers, general manager John Mozeliak said. - Aug 08

Craig...cuz my sig says so.
