    Laptop Question

So I need to buy a laptop and I just found a Manufacturer Refurbished Acer AS7750-6669 on Ebay for $400.

    Features include:

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
    6GB Memory with 8GB Max
    2x 500GB (1TB) Hard Drive 5400rpm
    Intel i3-2350M Processor 2.30GHz 3MB Cache
    17.3" LED Backlit Screen 1600x900
    1.3MP Camera
    8X DVD-Super Multi Double-Layer Drive
Intel HD Graphics 3000 Graphics chip
Office 2010 Starter, Bing Bar, Windows Live Essentials
    HDMI
    90 Day Manufacturer Warranty

I'm not too great with computers but to me the features sound pretty awesome, however I'm not too familiar with how good Acer is/isn't. Think anyone could help me out and see if the value is good on this thing?

Those are some pretty dam good specs for the price. The warranty, camera, and Microsoft Office is just icing on the cake.

well yeah, and I need it for school. Mechanical Eng. major so I'll need to instal AutoCAD eventually, which is why I just sold my older macbook (needed an upgrade anyway). I know Acer's aren't "great" per se.. but I just can't seem to find anything that comes remotely close to the specs for $400. Though Wal Mart had some decent HP's for like $320

Than this is a really good deal, should run AutoCAD pretty well. Don't really need an i5 or i7 for that.

    how about something like this?

much more inexpensive, but worse specs. I just need something I can be comfortable running autocad on and not completely deplete my computer's speed. I say this one because it actually received fantastic reviews.

Still should be pretty good, the RAM is always upgradeable and the A4 is a little worse then the i3. Still a good deal.

I'd go with the less expensive one, there's not that much a difference for that much of the price difference. You can always get some RAM for like $40 to increase it to 6 GB's. Shouldn't need to though.

It's alright I like the questions.

great thanks! I think I might get the 2 year warranty on it for $62.99 too through cowboom. It would still only cost me about $350 and I'd have a 2 year warranty on it
