If Federer wins tomorrow, it'll be harder for Nadal to catch up.

If Federer wins this tournament, it's pretty much over for Nadal. He's not winning the US Open, I guarantee that.

Seems like Nadal fans stopped posting after Fed won Wimbledon again. How does it feel for you guys to see Federer ranked number 1 again?

Nadal pulls out of the Olympics due to injury. I'm sorry but how is he exactly going to match Federer? He's 26 and he's had so many injuries already. I'm not sure in 2 years he's going to be competitive.

I still think he has a good chance. He just needs to win 7 instead of 6 slams.

The break will help Nadal in New York. He'll be fresh and motivated. I like this chances. The injury thing with him is overblown, especially doubting he'll be competitive in two years. Agassi was competitive at 35 with a screwed up back.

he has had injuries throughout his career and still performed. In the beginning of 2010 he suffered a quad injury then won the next 3 slams.

Does he handle those injuries the same way he did before as he ages?

Agassi was the exception, not the norm.

No don't think he does. And I still wonder about Nadal's injuries over the years, especially his knees. I think his career ends up being shorter because of his knees so I don't see it likely that he passes Federer. Another 5 years at top form at most for Nadal IMO.

And I think Fed could still win some more slams too. For awhile it looked like he wouldn't win anymore but he won Wimbledon. Might pick up another 1 or 2 before he retires.

Nadal out of the US Open. If Federer wins the US Open, I think there's going to be a problem catching up to him.

Nadal needs to forget bout number one and ****.

Train extrahard for each grand slam, not play b.s trophys, not play davis cup, and the b.s trophys he has to mandatory play, lose on purpose on first round adn prepare for the next g.s

Nadal has the knees of an 80 year old man.
