Does Nadal surpass Federer in Grand Slams?

You think Nadal surpasses Federer in Grand Slams?

Federer has 16 while Nadal has 11. Federer got his 11th just before his 26th while Nadal just turned 26th. Federer last won when he was 28th years old.

Ask me this at the end of this season...He has a shot, but Djoko is standing in his way right now.

If Nole didn't suddenly become a phenom, Nadal would've. Heck, he (Nadal) could've had the calendar grand slam last year.

it all depends on Nole. I think he has to get a min of 2 slams a year for the next year.

    deppends on two factors.

    1 federer NOT WINNING MORE

2 Being able to mantain his shape 4 more years ( doubtfull ,he relys to much on his phisic)

four more paris and two from the rest ( wimbledons most probably) .

Novak came out of nowhere and he's the main challenge. But I mean that's how competition works.

Federer would have won more had it not been for Nadal on clay. Samprass and Agassi would have won more had Gustavo Kuerten not been so good on Clay. Borg, McEnroe and Connors all live in the same era too.

Meh. Fed won a lot because there weren't any serious competition. Hewitt? Meh. Safin? Meh. Roddick? Meh. Others? Meh. Nobody had what it took to compete with Fed back then.

I agree though, Fed might've already have over 20 GS titles if it weren't for Nadal (alone).

Also, this situation's different because what we have are Nadal and Nole at their primes. Back then, Nadal was still an emerging and raw talent (even though he won the FO at an early age) challenging a prime Fed. When Nadal reached his prime, Fed was already on the decline.

If Nadal surpasses Federer's record is Nadal the GOAT? lets exclude Laver in this because the game was extremely different back then.

Depends on where Nadal wins it. If like the next 5 out of 7 is on clay, nah.

I'd give him a case to be the GOAT. Federer was a tennis God though who is was so versatile and was so awesome.

Like Raps said, he needs more non clay GS's. Like a lot more. He only has 2 hard court GS, and 2 Wimbledon. He is by far the greatest clay courter, but not the best all-time unless he wins...at least 1 more US and AUS.

if he can win wimbledon at least twice in the next 3 years. 2 wimby + 3 FO + 1 US/Australia

but that's the best case scenario. especially with those doubtful knees/foot/whatever.
