    AP Top 25 - Week 7

    1. Alabama (60)
    2. Oregon
    3. South Carolina
    4. Florida
    5. West Virginia
    6. Kansas State
    7. Notre Dame
    8. Ohio State
    9. LSU
    10. Oregon State
    11. USC
    12. Florida State
    13. Oklahoma
    14. Georgia
    15. Texas
    16. Clemson
    17. Stanford
    18. Louisville
    19. Miss State
    20. Rutgers
    21. Cincinnati
    22. Texas A&M
    23. Louisiana Tech
    24. Boise State
    25. Michigan

    - Florida jumps Notre Dame, West Virginia and Kansas State to move up to 4.

    - TCU went from 15 to not even being ranked with their loss to Iowa State.

    - Undefeated Miss State was ranked 21 back 3 weeks ago and are ranked 19 now..... I'm sure that has to be frustrating

    - Texas only falls 4 spots after losing to West Virginia.

    - Georgia falls from 5 to 14.

    - Florida State falls from 3 to 12.

You know what is sad for South Carolina-- They could win at LSU and Florida and NOT move one spot in the top-25, unless something happens to Alabama or Oregon.

If South Carolina wins both of those games, they're my #1 team in the country. Alabama has that spot a little on reputation at this point. They pounded a Michigan team which was clearly overrated from the beginning and they really haven't beaten anyone else of note. Not that I don't think they have a great team because they clearly do.

USCe would definitely jump Oregon if they won both of those games.

As for Florida, I don't feel like we're top five team again yet. But I didn't feel like that through most of 2006 either. South Carolina is now by far the toughest game left on our schedule. Georgia and Florida State are very winnable games.

It doesn't really matter if South Carolina is number one or number two right now. If they win out then it will take care of itself, and they'll be heading to Miami.

Ridiculous to me that Florida jumped WVU. LSU was terribly overrated, and Florida won at home, and jumps WVU who wins against #11 on the road.

Texas isn't that special to be fair.

But I did expect WVU to be ranked ahead of Florida. It's the SEC factor I'm sure.

Yup, the SEC circular thinking. It doesn't matter if SEC teams lose as long as it's to other SEC teams. But if you win, it shows how good you are.

I didn't think Florida would jump West Virginia that is kinda shocking. If it makes WVU fans feel any better Geno Smith has already won the Heisman....

I disagree. By that point in the season Oregon will have presumably beaten both Stanford and USC. And by the end of the season Oregon State (should htey remain undefeated).

The Pac-12 is tough this year. The SEC has 6 or 7 good teams and the Pac-12 has potentially 9 (though I think the number is probably 7 or so).

^South Carolina faces LSU and UF these next two weeks. Oregon doesn't face USC until November.

Anyways, I feel like the rankings are fine for now.

Don't think Florida should have jumped West Virginia also, but that doesn't really matter at this point. Other than that not much to complain about.

When do the BCS standings start to come out?
Why in the world is it so important to get the calls right ?

beating uf and lsu is worth more than usc and stanford.

Yeah I can see one of Stanford or Oregon State falling out of the top 25 before Oregon faces them. I also wouldn't say Oregon is guaranteed a victory at USC either.
