so the six star walmart protein is better than myofusion?
Depends on your definition of better. Again, there's no way to prove this doc is completely accurate or unbiased.
And Six Star is a branch within Muscletech, so it's not far fetched to assume it's good quality, even if it tastes like ****.

Just picked up blue rasp C4. Gonna try it out tomorrow
i'm about to start my summer workout plan and just bought the weight gainer Re-built mass. if anyone is familiar with it i was wondering what are the usage recommendations? do you take it before or after workouts and how much do you take?
Meal timing doesn't matter.
Take it whenever you want to.
Just make sure you hit your daily macros. It's much more important.

It seems like some samples may have been sent to the guy from other reddit users in a ziplock bag
The study is interesting and there is no doubt in my mind a lot of proteins may not have everything in them that the label says, but this doesn't exactly seem like a controlled experiment.

What he means is he recommends taking it 1-3 hours before your workout and whenever you want to after, but if you aren't hitting your macros or eating at a calorie surplus, it's not gonna make much of a difference.
Your goal is to keep your body in an anabolic state.

No, I meant exactly what I said. He can use it whenever he wants as long as he's hitting his macros.
There is no anabolic window. You're not going to go catabolic if you have a proper diet and eat throughout the day.Your goal is to keep your body in an anabolic state.

In that case no, however there is an anabolic window if you don't have a proper diet and eat throughout the day.
If you aren't eating 1-3 hours before your workout, your body is going to be searching a lot harder for some fuel than if you had. Of course you don't have to, but at least it guarantees there's something in the tank.
From what I've been reading, when you workout you're breaking down the muscle, and the following 24-48 window your muscles are going through protein synthesis, and if timed right after the first peak you can spike the levels to increase growth even further than the first peak.
