that exactly where things are different between okc and Chicago.
presti draft choice are based on 2 things :
    - commitment to the team and the organisation
    - work ethic

spirit of a guy like harden is definitely different from a guy like Gordon. harden has the spirit to maybe take less.
look, sefo take 3M, in other team he can take easily a 5-6
collison take a 2M ... nick collison ! he has been paid in the past, it's true but he s committed.

as you see I spoke about harden, cause that guy is able to take less ( but less mean 10 to 12)
I didn't speak about ibaka, I think we'll lost him, as well as maynor and that's why we re targeting this year a pf... because in 2 years, you ll be glad to have someone already in the organisation to step up and get ibaka place. for the same reason we took reggie jackson, because we knew that maynor won't be able te retain. presti is a not only thinking one year ahead but 2 or 3 ( look at collison and sefo deals)
man, even loosing some guys, you still have have Durant, Westbrook, harden with experience and playoff experience, ask any gm, any team, it sounds like a nightmare. Durant best or second best in the league, harden named 3rd best SG by a GM (behind Bryant and wade), and Westbrook one of the most athletic guard on both end... add this to committed, basket IQ, team first guy...your team is a long time contender.

this is our philosophy and it's a marvellous one, that also why I'm still a thunder fan, because trust me, I couldn't be a nets fan, a raptors fan. and all those team who want to win in 1 year, that's silly basketball. presti secure great basketball for years and years . thanks to him
    Let's go Thunder

I think harden is better than westbrook imo

If they can keep all 3 then that's good for them but even with just 2 they are still elite team

I'd rather trade Harden for good picks than get rid of great defense by Iblocka

I don't think we have much to worry about. We'll go over the cap to keep them.

If they do they'll win multiple championships. Looks like the perfect team excluding center position.

For all I care, we can take our overrated center that can guard Tim Duncan and Andrew Bynum 1-on-1 and our unconventional cancer of an All NBA point guard and go and win us a couple rings.

Was in the NBA forum today and a thread was started about a James Harden trade rumor, Fresno, a guy in the forum was really insightful on the new CBA as well as the salary structure of the team so i thought i'd share.

OKC can keep their "Young Guns" together for a long time.

If Durant gets $18 Million, Westbrook gets $14 Million, Harden gets $12 Million, & Ibaka gets $11 Million that leaves them at $55 Million in total salary. This is assuming they amnesty Perkins. In comparison, the Knicks are paying their "Big 3" of Melo/Amare/Chandler $55-58 Million per year. Yes, it can be costly to pay a handful of players but if you're winning and making a profit then it makes sense.

    Thabo accounts for $4 Million
    Collison accounts for $2.5 Million
    Jackson accounts for $1.2 Million

The Luxury Tax grows to $74 Million, which means OKC will have $11.3 Million left remaining to fill out the remaining 7 other players on their active roster before they have to pay Luxury Taxes.

Veteran players will be taking discounts for the veterans minimum to play for a "Dynasty" in Oklahoma City who have a chance to win a Title. Also Oklahoma City picking at the bottom of the 1st Round means their pick between 28-30 in the 1st Round will only account for $1 Million.

Red Sox, Ravens, Thunder, Blackhawks, UConn and Penn St. Fan!

Get Bradley Beal and maybe Festus Ezeli

If OKC decided to move some players based off ego's and salary; here is a great plan for them:

Trade R.Westbrook & Perkins to Brooklyn
Receive in a sign and trade; Dwill, Marshon Brooks and Brook Lopez, 3mill cash

    Trade Harden to the Bobcats
Obtain the 2nd pick in the draft and a future second rounder

Realistically as a coach; you bring in Phil Jackson for three years to try and win three more titles

You instantly have an upgrade at the 1 & 5 and a 2 young guns ( A.Rivers; MKG; Beal; Barnes; or even trade the pick to another team for a player they covet; Tyreke Evans) and M.Brooks to have a cheap salary inlace of Harden

common guys...we built our team for years and years...do you think one second we'll shake it because of a lost ?!
that's not the culture of our franchise.

Sam Presti will keep the team together. The team know nba Finals, have more experience. Don't forget that harden/durant/westbrook/ibaka are under 23 !

There won't be any blockbuster trade in OKC.

Harden and ibaka will be resign during the year. And actually, the way they played these finals is marvellous ... you can't ask for max deal when playing like them. so they'll be around the 10-12M$ and it can works.

    Harden is going nowwhere anyway

That would be completely idiotic. Why don't we just trade Durant too since we are giving up the other two members of our big 3. It doesn't really help us out financially either since Lopez is about to get a bigger contract and so is Williams. We also wouldn't be upgrading at the PG position either because Westbrook >Williams.
