    Disappointments/Surprises so far

List any players that fit as a disappointment or a surprise this year. Add stats to back up your picks.

    I'll start

    Disappointments

    Jose Bautista
    .180 BA
    3 HR
    12 RBI
    .337 SLG
    .659 OPS
    80 OPS+

    Albert Pujols
    .208 BA (Wow)
    0 HR (Wow)
    5 RBI (Wow)
    .287 SLG
    .539 OPS
    55 OPS+

    Surprises

    Adam Dunn
    .238 BA
    6 HR
    17 RBI
    .536 SLG
    .920 OPS
    150 OPS+

I know Dunn isn't lighting it up - but he's back to normal or close to after his joke of a season last year.

Don't be afraid to list your own favorite team's players. It lets fans know about some players we might not realize are struggling or playing well.

Bautista isn't really a surprise. He's back to where he should be.

    .183 BA
    5 HR
    14 RBI
    .376 SLG
    .638 OPS

Thought this kid would have a much better start this year.

Brian LaHair, 29 y/o AAAA player never given a chance.

    388/468/821/1.289 15 XBH in 79 PA

Doubt you can find one better. His BABIP is completely unsustainable but he's reminding me of Joey Votto. Cubs can ride his top-notch production for league min. for a couple seasons.

Byrd is hitting 300 since going to Boston, yes, but he has 1 walk and 1 XBH. He's a posterchild for empty BA.

Hard to believe that 3 guys who you'd think would get MVP votes in Pujols,Cano and Bautista have all struggled. A surprise for me is Edwin Encarnacion-

    9 HR
    24RBI
    .320AVG
    1.057OPS

He was pretty good to end last season but he's been one of the best hitters in baseball thus far.

Edwin Encarnacion has been beastin. .320 with 9 HRs and 24 RBI in 25 games.
