    for a powerlifter type bench you need to squeeze your lats together and relax your shoulders. All the emphasis should be on shoulders, tris and lats. Hardly any bend of the elbow

    Well I'm being "mentored" by a powerlifter so I'm getting second hand stuff. You need a guide for a routine or just technique?

    That 345 doesn't include the bar does it? So for everyone else, that is 390.

    I always count the bar... Weight is weight.

    Congrats on that lift bro!

    I will go for 335 before the end of year and maybe if I keep gaining I could hit 350 Idk I doubt it but you never know... 205 was my max in February

    woohoo started working out around aug. 30th and was doing 140 on the bench and 205 on my squat. Then I maxed out October 12th and hit 185 on the bench and 265 on my squat. I also weigh on average around 160-168 and am now up to about 175 after working out the past few months. Now I just have to get a solid cardio to burn off some of this fat and continue to put muscle on. My goal weight is 185 and actually being able to see my abs while being that weight lol.

    o and I am like 5'7'' maybe 5'8'' and my natural body weight is like 145 but I put on my "freshman 20" and 2 years later I finally decided to do something about it lol.
