The Way Alexei Ponikarovsky has played for the devils deserves a contract for next season. In his stint with NJ, 33 games and 18 points. Not a huge scorer, but his job was to add grit, size, and some scoring, which he has done at clutch times. Big for us in the playoffs so far, and he had 2 GWG during the season. I really like having him in the lineup and I think he should be signed for next year.

guys like him and gionta (stephen) are musts for the devils. relatively young. relatively cheap. and just productive team players. neither would ever quit on any play. and look at what caliber a team they're a part of?

Signing Kovalchuk to a 100 million dollar deal and letting Parise sign with another team is the epitome of stupid. Lou cannot allow this to happen. Those are the kinds of mistakes that put a franchise back 5 years.
