Edwards played last week, losing an apparent touchdown to replay. He did sit out two weeks with a knee injury a month ago, but wasn't known to be injured in Week 13. Perhaps his release is tied to Tuesday's Twitter outburst against the "idiots calling the shots" in the Jets organization. Edwards has since apologized for the comments, likely at the behest of his agent.

Hey Paco this might be the player you were thinking of. I say why not?
Yes it was...thanks Big! Ya I honestly don't see why we shouldn't at least bring him in. **** we got nothing! I've also seen the list of available FA's and it's not good, lol.

Chris Cook - DB - Vikings
Vikings RCB Chris Cook (broken arm, I.R.) practiced Thursday on the first day he was eligible to participate.
He's wearing a cast after breaking the radius bone on the inside of his forearm. Cook is eligible to return to the active roster on Dec. 20, eight weeks after being placed on injured reserve/designated for return.

Probably about the same thing we'd take for AP. Dude is a cornerstone of their franchise.

On the Around The Leage (ATL) segment of NFL.com, they created a ranking list for the OCs in the NFL right now. Guess who ranked at the bottom with the "no hopers/why are these men employed" section?

Hint: His name rhymes with ****grave. (you can fill in the *'s with any 4 letter explitive you want) haha

    Viqueens working out receivers.
Two days after placing Percy Harvinon injured reserve, the Minnesota Vikings were set to ramp up their search for receiver depth with a workout of several players at Winter Park.

Three receivers were on their way to Winter Park for a workout on Friday afternoon, according to NFL sources.

That list included Raymond Webber, a former Arkansas-Pine Bluff standout who has had stints with Tampa Bay, Seattle and the New York Jets over the past two years.

It also was believed the Vikings were working out Bryan Walters, the former San Diego receiver who was in camp with the Vikings this summer.

Webber, 23, is a big target at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds. He most recently was with the Jets, who waived him on Aug. 25, and has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

The workout could signal the Vikings are considering promoting Chris Summers from the practice squad, which would create a vacancy there.

Summers (6-5, 215) spent the offseason with the Chicago Bears, whom the Vikings play on Sunday. He averaged 20.7 yards on his three preseason catches before getting waived on Aug. 25 and signed a minimum practice squad deal with the Vikings a week later.

As of Friday morning, the Vikings had not moved to fill the spot on their 53-man roster created when Harvin was placed on IR with the sprained ankle he suffered on Nov. 4 at Seattle.

Chris summers sounds like an interesting prospect.
They also worked out bryan walters,LaMark Brown, and Raymond Webber.

Brown (6-foot-3, 225) has had stints with Atlanta, Buffalo and Tampa Bay, which released him from its practice squad on Nov. 13. He is listed as a tight end but played mostly receiver in college -- three years at Kansas State, then one for the Mavericks in Division II -- and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds at the "U" pro day in March.

Webber (6-3, 220) is a former Arkansas-Pine Bluff standout who has had stints with Tampa Bay, Seattle and the New York Jets over the past two years.

Walters (6-0, 190) is the former San Diego receiver who was in camp with the Vikings this summer.

Summers does sound very intriguing. I like the size for obvious reasons.

We should ask about Fitz, and We should def fire Musgrave whom is one of the worst in the business, I dont hate him I just dont want him as our OC....Bring him back as a QB coach or something....and for gods sake bring in Edwards, TO, or Chad J or all three. Is there anyone in here that thinks we have better than that, cause if you do you are not watching this team or replays or hearing the whispers around the league...we suck at the Wr position and our OC is possibly the worst in the business at this point and it is a fact now that our interior line couldn't stop a High School team at this point....I know Ponder sucks bad right now but the deck is sooo stacked against him at this point. AP is our and his only hope, as soon as they double down on Kyle. We dont even design any plays where Ponder naturally rolls away from the middle of the line to avoid the un-avoidable pressure that is going to come from the middle. The hot read on every pass play we have is an under route to our slot or TE,,,dont give Ponder that option and lets see him throw a couple of passes over 10 yards

Well clearly the intent here is young players. We're looking form someone who could have a future with this team. Still kind of telling that they didn't bring Edwards in for a workout.

    Troy Kropog - T - Vikings
Vikings promoted OL Troy Kropog from the practice squad.
He's taking Percy Harvin's (ankle, injured reserve) roster spot. Kropog has made seven career appearances, but just one since 2010. If he's active for Week 14, his snaps will be in the single digits.

lol should have seen this coming. This guy was promoted just so that he doesn't get snatched off our practice squad. I think that the conclusion that the FO came to was that of all the young WRs we worked out, we didn't like any of them, so just promote this guy. This doesn't speak well for the FO thinking we can make the playoffs.

Greg Childs - WR - Vikings

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier hasn't given up hope that WR Greg Childs (torn patellar tendons, I.R.) will help the team in the future.
"We think he's going to be a good player for us [in the future]," said Frazier. "Jarius Wright [Childs' Arkansas teammate] has come on for us here of late, and we're hoping he's going to turn out to be a good player." Childs was once a massive talent, but he's facing long odds after tearing both patellar tendons -- his right one for the second time.

Wilfs see no reason Leslie Frazier wouldn’t return
The Vikings rode running back Adrian Peterson and an opportunistic defense to a 21-14 win over the Bears on Sunday, improving their record to 7-6 and strengthening their shot at a playoff berth in the process.

It also seems to have played a role in convincing the team’s ownership to bring coach Leslie Frazier back as the team’s head coach in 2013. Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune spoke to owner Zygi Wilf and team president Mark Wilf after Sunday’s win and they both commended the job done by the coaching staff with a young team. Mark Wilf said he saw no reason Frazier wouldn’t return and Zygi Wilf made things even clearer when asked about who would be the coach next season.

“He is our coach,” the owner said.

Many of the young players came up with strong performances in Sunday’s win, including key interceptions by rookie defensive backs Josh Robinson and Harrison Smith that led to 14 points. One young player who didn’t was quarterback Christian Ponder, who was 11-of-17 for 91 yards and an interception. That makes three poor performances in a row for the quarterback and it makes the biggest question mark about the Vikings pretty obvious.

Frazier would be coaching in the final year of his contract if he doesn’t get an extension before next season, a topic the Wilfs weren’t as ready to discuss as Frazier’s implied return for another year as coach. His chances of getting one would improve quite a bit if he can figure out a way to get Ponder pointed in the right direction before ownership makes a decision on that front.
