I will have to watch again when I get home but I am pretty sure that his foot was being stepped on prior to the impact from Tommy Kelly (I think that's who it was)...

I don't expect any of them to have great years where they'll bolt but if they show they can get it done I think we need to sign them to longer extensions, they all are young and going into the prime of their careers.

Honestly I think Erin Hendo is gone after this season. This of course unless he absolutely sucks. He started "1" season for the vikings and when they didn't offer him a max deal he went to twitter and started the "vikings be disrespecting me" BUll SHITE. If he has an above average season he will leave for money the vikings are willing to pay him. The only situation I see where the Vikings give Erin the money he thinks he deserves is if he puts up a 70+ tackle 3 FF 2+ int season. He talked alot of junk about minny after an average season and tested free agency and the phone didn't ring. I don't care much for the class he's shownr IMHO I think he only was around as long as he was to appease his brother who although will be moving on I do love and appreciate what he brought to the Vikings, It's a shame the injury bug hit him the way it did. Thank you E.J for the years you gave us fans and please teach your brother the values of being a leader and showing the heart and determination we admired in you.

    Levi Horn - T - Vikings
Vikings signed G/T Levi Horn, formerly of the Bears.
Horn was an annual practice squad project in Chicago, never making it into a real game. He'll compete for a deep reserve spot on Minnesota's roster.

I have to disagree about Erin Henderson. He's not all-pro but he's a pretty linebacker and they made the right decision choosing him vs re-signing Ben Leber (and I really liked Ben Leber) you're blowing his contract talks way out of proportion. To the best of my knowledge he never said that the Vikes offers were not good enough, he just voiced his displeasure that the team hadn't responded to what he considered a reasonable contract offer made by his agent and he "knew what he was worth". Compared to some of the other **** that goes down in FA (our old friend Cindy Rice) its pretty tame.

I think this 1 year deal is best for everyone, the team wasn't ready to give him huge money, but he gets to hit FA again next year.

There is some talk from Sid Hartman that E.J. could be back this season but I don't see it, he's this year's Ben Leber.

i cant wait to see Harvin, Simpson, and Wright's speed on the field at the same time....Ponder did wonders last season checking down to Harvin on crossing routes now we have Jerome and Wright who can do the same thing while having the ability to stretch the field...we have big bodies guys like Rudolph and Carlson and Childs who can do some damage in the redzone

Guys look out for a promising year from Ponder

I still am convinced Erin will eventually will be put inside and Griffen will take over the outside. It just makes practical sense to get as much talent and versatility on the field as possible without sacrificing positioning.

Both Erin and Everson are sure tacklers the only reason Everson would have to be on the outside is because he could be an impact pass rusher in our zone blitz scheme we like on 2nd and 3rd downs.

Nope Shank is still on the street. Not hearing much on E.J. although Sid Hartman thinks he could end up back in Minnesota. As for Leber, he's pretty much fallen off the map, the Eagles worked him out in March but he's 34 now and is probably going to end up signing one of those 1 day retirement contracts with the Vikes.

I agree, this will be an exciting season. Ponder will have an entire offseason/ preseason to workout and he will have an improved O-LINE. I think if Ponder has more time to throw the ball he will do just fine.

Jerome Simpson - WR - Vikings
    May 20 - 9:59 AM

According to the National Football Post, one NFL team thinks Vikings WR Jerome Simpson would be making $5 million a year if not for his fall arrest.

He ended up accepting a one-year, $2 million offer. $5 million is probably a bit optimistic, as Simpson is far from a proven No. 1 NFL receiver. According to the Post, he's not perceived as a "bad kid" despite being arrested for having 2.5 pounds of marijuana mailed to his house in September. It helps that he's yet to register a positive drug test. It's clear that teams think highly of Simpson's skills, so a strong 2012 season could earn him a big pay raise next offseason.

I cant wait to stand on the podium with Zygi and Mark and Jonathan, and were standing on the podium, and we look up and the confetti is falling down on top of us, and were all hand in hand, and Commissioner Goodell comes over and hands the Super Bowl trophy to Mr. Wilf and tells him hes world champion, that is my goal and that is my drive.
