    Giroux

this might have been talked about before, so my apologies if it has........

    the League MVP.

Malkin can't shine for voters anymore, his season is over! If Giroux averages 10 or so points over the next 2 series and is the consensus reason that we make it to the Finals, does he take any votes away from Malkin and walk away with that trophy?

if you aint cav, you aint s**t

The Hart Trophy is voted on at the end of the regular season. The postseason has its own MVP award for exactly that reason (which Giroux is definitely a frontrunner for, along with pretty much every goalie left in the West).

Giroux got snubbed, as did Matt Read for the ROY.

Oh well, I rather him win the Conn Smythe.

My thoughts exactly, only I'd rather him win they way parent did Parent rather than how Leach or Hextall did.

I am sure right now that the only trophy Giroux wants is the Cup

G not a finalist for the Hart

Homer not a finalist for Exec. of the Year

Read not a finalist for the Calder

Jagr not a finalist for the Masterton

Yet, I'm sure all of them would say exactly what G said when reporters asked him about not being a finalist for the Hart:

"In the end, it's not the trophy I want."

Still, I think that the Flyers were somewhat slighted.
    <Meaning and Content>

...And did you see that Giroux goal?

Eh, I guess you can say that. Realistically, it goes to whomever wins the cup. JSG is the last player that I remember winning it while losing, and that was nearly ten years ago. I think it was '03.

If Philly wins the cup, then Giroux wins it IMO.

    Thus far:

    Nashville - Rinne
    Los Angeles - Quick
    St. Louis - McDonald
    Phoenix - Smith

    Philadelphia - Giroux
    New Jersey - Zajac/Kovalchuk
    Washington - Holtby
    New York - Lundqvist

So long as Pronger is considered a possibility to return, no. If he, or the team, decides he isn't going to make a comeback then possibly. Just remember, he is only 24.....

Just give it some time. He'll be captain eventually.

Bingo. Whole team got snubbed by the league and its peers. Only further confirming the Flyers get zero respect.

Which is why winning the cup would be the biggest ******* OFF! to the NHL

    Obviously.

Through one round, he and pretty much any of the goales in the West are the contenders. That's all I was saying.

Exactly..... Let Malkin have the Hart. If Giroux wins a cup and the Conn Smythe it wont matter anyway
