Game 2 is crucial. We can't be constantly sending games to OT either if we want to go deep in the playoffs. Our guys are tired enough as it is coming off a 7 game series.

unfortunately, Kovalchuk, and zidlicky were the ones who blew the game. Kovy looked like crap, hope he does not have an injury because now I am worried. Zidlicky always takes the stupid penalty. Also don't like Sykora taking dump penalties every game too. Finally the icing on the cake, Marty gives a rare turnover. Should have won this game. We gave them 2 lame *** goals. On the other hand, Bryzgalov gave us a chance because he gave up bad goals

Split the series on the road and take care of business at home has been the playoff motto for years. Easier said than done but Jersey still has a chance to do just that.

yeah but marty saved some he probably shouldn't have. always seems to balance out with him. he makes worse mistakes than a lot for goalies, but that comes with being so actively handling the puck all game. it sets up more goals than it allows, if you think about it. it's still frustrating however, i agree.

kovy and lidlicky should be embarrassed, zidlicky more since he's done the same ****ing thing 3 times in the playoffs already. don't hit the puck out of the rink on the backcheck...they look for that more than ever. he is a great defenceman but, like brodeur, makes the odd stupid mistake once a game or so.

kovy was taken for a fool. but i see him improving. he is a complete player. he showed us as much this season. now it just needs to translate in this series, and we have a shot.

we can definitely win 4 out of 6.

we most certainly can win this series. Kovalchuk needs to either address his injury and sit out, or if he is just in a rut, he needs to get out of it and resume his successful season. Zidlicky is not a good defender, but he is a gifted offensive defense man. Not saying he is bad, but he should not be out late in games unless on a PP. Marty always makes the dazzling saves, like the glove save and the save off the turnover before the goal, but he can't be making bad passes behind the net. With the way Bryz has played game 1 and during the playoffs he is capable of potentially blowing this series for the Flyers. That is why they rely on their gifted offense

Good game last night guys. Marty made some pretty unbelievable saves; the stop on Hartnell in OT comes immediately to mind. My Flyers definitely have their work cut out for them.

Flyers have one of the best offense's I have ever seen... its crazy I just dont know how Devils can beat them now. In OT we couldnt even get the freaking puck in their end

yeah but in the first period, it was the exact opposite. it's all about sustaining good play, possession, the forecheck. if we do that, we win. if not, philly does. simple.

Devils have been very weak on their forecheck in these playoffs. It has been their game plan for many years. They need to continue to put the pressure on the Flyers because without forechecking/backchecking, the Devils are basically swiss cheese

Yep. As a Flyers fan, honestly I am not sure how I feel about this ironically. I /should/ be happy as he's a dangerous sniper. At the same time, Bryz can only make the tough saves it seems...the kind that a guy like Kovy would make. The weak *** shots that his replacement is likely to produce, Bryz has been letting in like hot chicks to an exclusive club.

^ lol at your analogies. but you have a point. marty is the same way. he'll save all the one-timers and bounces, but the softies? gotta painfully sit through them and hope for the best.
