i came from a country (Philippines) whose professional basketball league (PBA) is set up differently than the NBA -- instead of having home teams, each professional team is owned and managed by big companies, e.g. San Miguel Beermen, Alaska Milkmen, Shell Oilers, Ginebra, etc. most PBA fans have no loyalty to the teams but rather the players, hence, when a particular player gets traded or signs with a different team, his fans switch loyalty to the new team as well.
Go Suns! and good luck to the fans who switched, i believe in quality over quantity anyways, if they don't love the team anymore, so be it..
ps. still bring to work my Nash jersey/backpack. 8-)
JO3 at least wasn't one of those fans who was a dick to everyone and he did stay through some of the bad years too. Not like he up and went the moment STAT left. We had a Shaq fan who was a total tool to us when he left phoenix. Talking about our franchise ruining him.
I don't like fans leaving but I have no grief against him.
Besides, if a Timerwolves fan comes in and asks us what his deal is, we'll tell them that he's a spy
