    Packers release Chad Clifton

Packers are releasing OT Chad Clifton today. Failed a physical. Had back surgery in the off-season. Uncertain whether he will play again.

I don't think this changes much about the draft plans, I would expect a tackle at some point, Clifton or not. If this is the last we see of Chad I salute him for what is most likely a Packer HOF career.

Gonna miss him...probably a major reason as to why Favre was able to play so many games for us. Even when he slowed and the injuries piled up, he did a great job protecting Rodgers as well. Best of luck Chad!

Waiting for someone to scream this is the end of the world.

Odd timing or is just because he just had the physical?

You know what bugs the crap out of me, I just wish I could know if Collins is back. I know after Friday of the draft we should have a good idea, but dammit it bugs me. Understand the whole thing, would do the same thing as they're doing. Just want to know.
I posted 50,000 times on PSD and all I was this lousy t-shirt.

@ Clifton. Was a great player for us but it's time to move on for his sake and our sake.

Thanks for all your hard work over the years #76! Yeah we all knew it was coming, but I had hoped he had year left, one more run! Oh well.

How much will this save on the salary cap? Should this have more obvious after the Jeff Saturday signing?
