Space Shuttle Discovery is approaching Washington, D.C.

This is extremely powerful to look at. Just think of the history of this spacecraft.

So what does this mean for the US space program? Does anyone know if they are planning something else likea race to Mars maybe, or is it being cut?

They are focusing on developing technology for Mars now at Vandenberg AFB near LA.

I can't find the article but about a year ago, they unveiled first designs of the mars "shuttle".

I know they really can't put a time frame on it, but do they say when they want to land on Mars?

Astronomy is something that never really interested me in school, but now I am getting much more into it.

I went outside on my deck when it flew over. It was flying really low, and I thought it was an AWAX until I got my binoculars out to look at it. The whole piggyback thing looks pretty odd in person.
I'm in favor of liberalized immigration because of the effect it would have on restaurants. I'd let everybody in except the English.
