I honestly am pissed off because Carkner who jumped boyle and was punching him while he was on the ground only got 1 game and hagelin got 3 games. I understand the hit to the head but just because boyle wasn't injured doesn't mean what carkner did wasn't just as bad. Guess we will be seeing Krieder sooner than we thought. Most likely tomorrow because i don't see torts putting scott in the lineup at all during the playoffs.
not to mention the fact that after what Weber did to the detroit player and only got fined and not suspended. The league is not consistent with their punishments and to me its a joke.
You know what... if it knocks Alfredson out the series then it was well earned and deserved. 3 Games means he'll be back if we advance... not a big loss. Just be happy Dubinsky is back for next game.
AS MJ WOULD SAY " IS THIS SIGNATURE IN VIOLATION NOW..."

For those of you keeping score at home: 1) Smashing a guys head into the boards twice after the game is over nets you a $2,500 fine and no suspension 2) Elbowing a guy who has his head turned away from you nets a minor penalty and no supplemental discipline 3) Sucker-punching a player at least 8 times who is not engaged in a fight with you nets you TBD 4) Elbowing Daniel Alfredsson nets you a 3-game suspension Make sense to you? Didn't think so.
Just thinking about this gets me angry... I can only imagine how pissed off the guys are. I just hope they play smart. They can't go out there too intense or else they'll get burnt. Let guys like Rupp/Scott, Prust, and Fedetenko do some dirty work. Our guys have to say focused.
You know this really irks me. Hagelin, was not trying to give him a head shot. His elbow followed up Alfredsons shoulder to his head. Yet he gets a 3 game suspension (this is also a first time offense), Phillips elbows Callahan, gets a 5 minute major and not even a peep about a suspension.
I hope we sit Mitchell and inject Scott and Krieder into the lineup. Hate to say it, but this could be a blessing in disguise (IF Kreider has a great game, could help roundout the lineup) I think Mitchell is going to the the odd man out.
Not to mention that Ottawa has been trying to push anyone and everyone into Hank the whole last game.
