I don't think so, because a coach is supposed to be a COACH, and not getting to the court to shoot the ball in crunch time, like he's going to do.

lol it'd be cool to have Kobe on the sidelines no doubt. would he be good is anybody's guess though.
He won't pass the other assistant coaches the scouting reports.
Dont think he'd have the patience to deal with players who werent performing in the court
I don't think Kobe will be doing much coaching once his playing days are over. I also don't see him building a business empire in the way that magic has. He simply doesn't have the ability to relate to people to make himself a success in either area.
He's likely going to be spending some time broadcasting, and then making money in ventures which don't require a lot of inter-personal cooperation, such as licensing and endorsements. He'll be working the rest of his life to pay his alimony, so he will definitely be kept busy.
I thought about this too, watching him today he looked like a natural leader. Something I have never seen from him on the court. I don't know his arrogance and general attitude make me want to say no, but who knows. Maybe after he steps back and looks at his career he will be humbled and have a clear head.
