    Juan Uribe

How does Uribe expect to drive the ball when every pitch he steps in the bucket. All his hits have been the soft variety on the outside part of the plate. Why would any pitcher give him anything on the inside part of the plate that he could actually make good contact. Unless he makes adjustments we are in for another soft year from Uribe.

He also swings at the 1st pitch every single time..If I'm a pitcher I count on that and throw him sliders off the plate for strike 1 every time! Its rare form if you witness him see more than 4 pitches in an AB..He sucks..Even if he was decent there is something about him that I hate..it prob stems from seeing him in Halloween Colors!

I would rather see Sellers get playing time at 3rd!

Unfortunately we are stuck with Uribe and his fat contract. He's guaranteed like 8 million dollars this year and next year I believe. Just like Lilly he'll be making more than what he is worth. We can't send him down. The only thing we can hope for is somehow he makes it as a bench player, a very expensive bench player.

David Wright would be a nice trade candidate. The Mets aren't going to pay him the money.

Maybe Adam Lind of the Blue Jays ?

He has a pretty sizeable contract but he could take over at 1B and provide some decent Power and slot right in behind Rivera.

Some mid level prospects, Loney and $ he could be had.

Wright would take some high level prospects tho.

That kid Luis Cruz was good during Spring Training. I believe it was between him and Sellers to make the ball club. He plays third base as well and had a solid spring(1hr and 8 rbi's). One thing that shocks me is that Jorge Cantu is in the minors. I understand the Angels are stacked but this guy is a legit major league player.

Congrats to Uribe on his 4 hits last night. But you would think that with 4 hits, one would sure to be in the gap for a double. Anyway, lets not look a gift horse in the mouth, we will take the 4 hits, even if they were of the soft variety.
