Turner 2nd in NFL in broken tackles, Rodgers lead all rookies

Football Outsiders released their list of leaders in broken tackles. (I trust FO more than PFF)

    http://www.footballoutsiders.com/sta...n-tackles-2011

Michael Turner is #2 on the list in terms of pure numbers (Behind LeSean McCoy) with 42. Also good for 13.2% broken tackle per touch. In terms of percentages he ranked 10th. He was one of two players on the top 10 with over 300 touches (McCoy was #1). Something certainly worth noting, even I as a Turner "hater" have to respect this. Dude clearly still has something.

Even more impressive, Jacquizz Rodgers was #11 and lead all rookies with 19 broken tackles. 19 broken tackles in 78 touches (24.4%). If you ever needed more proof that we need to get him more touches, you have a great case right here.

For the most part, we know the problem has been the push up front; some of that it could be due to poor technique and some due to the lack of size. They haven't had those real bulldozers on the OL. We'll see what new coaching brings.

PFF () said Turner/Snelling allowed only 2 QB pressures total in 2011, so the backfield is doing the dirty work.

yeah I guess I gotta give him something too. I'm still not a fan and don't like how slow and lazy he is. But I guess he is a fat bastard and break tackles if only cause he is so fat lol. They bounce off!! No new news on Rogers tho we all have watched him and know he can run the ball.

I wasn't a big fan of the signing, but I'd still say he's lived up to the deal.

No doubt. Dude is possibly going to set every career rushing record within the next two seasons.
