I'm not even surprised he didn't get suspended. If Z had a concussion or neck injury from that, then Weber would be done for multiple games, but since Z will be ok, he'll just get a small fine. Ridiculous how they punish the result of the incident instead of the act itself.

    I agree.

Also, Nyquist is in for Game 2 in place of Helm.

F--k Shea Weber, F--k Betteman, F--k every ref at that game, F--k the League, I wanna say F--k Shanny, but I won't. This is shaping up to look like a SJ/DET series. I wanna see a fight Friday, Bert and Weber. That s--t better be avenged. And dammit, Helmer's out!!

I actually feel pretty good about their chances in game 2.

They certainly played well enough to win game 1. Zetterberg is the big reason I have the confidence; he is playing his best hockey I have seen in a couple of years.

The best I've seen them play recently (that I can remember lol). I'm 100% sure if the Wings play like that again they will win game 2.

Any idea who will be in for Helmer? Not impressed with Emmerton the other night.
    Green Bay Packers
    Detroit Red Wings
    Toronto Blue Jays
    Toronto Raptors

Would rather see Conner, Emmerton has not impressed me at all.

Yeah, I'm surprised they don't give Conner a game to see what he can do. He was really coming along before he got hurt during the season.

Here are the anticipated line combinations based on today's practice at Bridgestone Arena:
    Valterri Filppula-Henrik Zetterberg-Jiri Hudler
    Johan Franzen-Pavel Datsyuk-Todd Bertuzzi
    Nyquist-Justin Abdelkader-Danny Cleary
    Miller-Cory Emmerton-Tomas Holmstrom
    Nicklas Lidstrom-Jonathan Ericsson
    Niklas Kronwall-Brad Stuart
    Kyle Quincey-Ian White
    Jimmy Howard
    Ty Conklin
Extra players: Chris Conner, Jan Mursak, Riley Sheahan, Jakub Kindl

I really wish Babs would stop putting Pav w/ mule and Bert, one of them is fine, but we really need someone with some speed on that line besides Pav.

I think we should put him in the line up, Conner has blazing speed that we could use to open up the ice for other players.
