    Anybody else watch it?

I thought it was just gonna be what they did over the summer with their 5 part series on Sportsnite, but they took what they did over the summer and made more out of it. Definitely good stuff, and made me love the real AI even more, which makes me hate Iggy(and this current team) more by default.

It was amazing when the Sixers were Philadelphia, and the rest of the teams just didn't seem to matter. I don't think it'll ever be that way again, that was such a unique season loaded with crazy personalities and storylines.

    yeup, fantastic documentary.

A.I is a dumbass, but he always means well. If only we had a player who competed with a FRACTION of the heart Iverson gave game in and game out...

Really took for granted how great of a scorer he was. I was never worried about scoring buckets with A.I, and whenever he dropped 40 I'd just say "meh" because he did it so often.

A.I always said he'd have a ring if he had Shaq on his team, and would anyone honestly disagree?

Chris Webber (32 when we got him), Glen Robinson (33), Keith Van Horn, Stackhouse, Larry Hughes..... can't BELIEVE he didn't win multiple chips with these legends...

I enjoyed it, Iverson was the man. The special could have.been better though. I feel like the rushed through the playoffs. I wantes to see more of those games. Pretty good other than that.

Loved the documentary. I'll always appreciate Iverson's contributions to this team and this city. But watching things like that just remind you how lucky we were to have him. You could take the combined heart and determination of every Sixers team since AI left and it doesn't equal what Iverson brought to the table.

Having said that, it's somewhat frustrating to look back and realize Iverson could have been even BETTER had he dedicated himself to his craft and practiced and trained as much as he could've. I live just outside of Atlantic City. My friends, family, and I work in the casinos. I've heard so many stories about Iverson and his crew partying, drinking, gambling all night... Then I'd see him come out that night and drop 40 points. It was amazing.

One last thought: Though some people deny it, the media's unfair treatment and portrayal of Iverson is VERY real and VERY unfair. Yes, Iverson did party too much with a large entourage and get himself evicted from numerous casinos. But he's also done a plethora of positive things for the community (Philly, VA, and ATL). On the other hand, look at a guy like Donovan McNabb (who I also appreciate). He's well spoken, doesn't dress like a "thug", and always smiles. He's been historically self aware about his public perception. As a result, the only negative McNabb stories you ever really hear are about his play on the field. But because he carries himself in a way that people appreciate (unlike Iverson), people sweep his shortcomings under the rug. And while he may not have ever been evicted from a casino for drunkenly urinating on walls (like AI), he's still notoriously less than respectful to servers, valet parkers, waiters, and other misc. customer service reps. But you never hear about that...

Maybe I'm just a bitter Iverson fan... lol

Sorry for the double post, but a couple of thoughts about the documentary:

    1. I miss the hell out of Pat Croce! Screw these new owners, they can't hold a candle to Pat!

    2. Bless Matt Geiger's soul for refusing to waive his no trade clause. Hate to play the "what if" game, but IF AI had been traded in 2000, Sixers could've very well been one of the teams up for contraction today.

    3. Had the Sixers won the championship that year, Iverson stepping over Tyron Lue would've been a more iconic image than Jordan over Ehlo IMO.

Agree with everything you said in both posts, but that bolded part rings especially true to me. In all honesty, the owners just don't seem genuine....at least not compared to Pat.

Just watched it.. it was awesome! It definitely brought back some memories. I was at both game 7s and the atmosphere was amazing. After we beat the bucks it didn't matter who you were everyone was just hugging and high fiving each other forever after the game. Damn we need that atmosphere back in the building!!

DVR'd the replay of it last night. Definitely going to watch it tonight if I get the chance, it looks awesome. But I think it's just going to make me depressed more than anything.
