Flyers deserved it but to say we didn't give them a huge hand with how uncontrolled we were with the tempers would be an understatement. They took advantage of us being total idiots.

It seemed that way most of the game but once they got the 3rd goal that MAF shoulda had no problems stopping, it hurt, but the 4th took the wind out of our sales.
Hopefully we can learn from this because we're too talented to not win another cup in the Crosby era.

Good (and ****ing insane) series, guys. I didn't have a good feeling before the game at all today, and I wasn't truly comfortable until that empty netter.

Sucks it ended like that, but oh well. They deserved it more than we did. They beat us physically, mentally and emotionally. They were just the better team. Some of the things we did at times just made no sense though. I don't get how that works. Some of the most bone-headed plays of the season...saved up for the playoffs I guess. Mentally we just weren't good-enough. Oh well. Life goes on...

well season over i am so pissed at our performance in this series and the last few weeks of season. please let players get the memo that talent doesnt win alone need some heart desire work ethic leadership otherwise known as intangiables.

The biggest game of the year and this is the performance we are given...

Going to be hard to win a lot of games when the other team starts playing and you don't. Giving up a goal 30 seconds in pretty much set the tone the rest of the way.

The only thing that made this game bearable was the fact that I had comes to grips with the fact that coming back in the series was highly unlikely.

Not much to say about the team, the game and score speak for themselves. I need to cool off a day or two and then, depending on interest, start posting in the Offseason Thread.

On a final note, thanks to all the reasonable Flyer posters in here. I think both fan bases learned the enemy isn't as bad as previously thought and can talk objective hockey. Congrats on the series and exploiting all our weaknesses. Not sure I can really wish good luck in the playoffs though lol

Memorable series, for sure. Even though it wasn't well-played at times, and got ugly for a game, it was very enjoyable. I'm sure most everyone that isn't a Pens fan who watched it had a great time doing so.
