Culberson's only going to turn 23 in 4 days? I always thought he was like 24.

Freddy Sanchez (shoulder) could begin a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Fresno as soon as next week.
Sanchez was given a cortisone shot a little over a week ago to help speed his recovery from shoulder surgery. The biggest issue has been his throwing, so he'll likely play a couple weeks of rehab games to get ready. Ryan Theriot and Emmanuel Burriss will split playing time at second base for now.
I want to know if he has been long tossing or not. He has to get that shoulder stronger somehow.

We need to get Freddy back so we can slide Melky down to 5th or 6th.

    — Some notes from last night’s minor league games:

Shawn Sanford, who was in big league camp for a few weeks, pitched six shutout innings in San Jose’s win. He gave up three hits, walked one and struck out one. Andrew Susac is hitting second for San Jose and Joe Panik is hitting third. Neither had a hit last night.

Chris Dominguez played left field and had two hits and two RBIs in Double-A Richmond’s loss to New Britain.

Heath Hembree struck out two while getting the save for Triple-A Fresno. Joaquin Arias drove in two runs in the 3-0 victory.

Apparently Villalona is back on the restricted list which opens up a 40 man roster spot.

Same. He makes a lot more sense there than Freddy. I've always kinda thought Freddy would fit better batting 6th (or lower) on this team.

I think slidding Melky down to the 5th spot makes this team allot better. He is more of a gap to gap hitter, so batting behind Posey & Sandoval (who get on base allot), he can be a run producer.

Hopefully Pagan/Blanco can hold down CF this season to give Brown one more season in a ball.

He's in AA now. Can't wait to see him up.

Jarret Parker 2 home runs in the first 2 games of the year. Knows how to take a walk, huge frame. Hit 13 HR and 20 SB last year in 127 games. Not bad for his first year. Excited to see what he does this year
