Thumbs up Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners - Series #1 (April 1-4)

    Game#1
Monday, April 1, 7:05 PM PDT, O.co Coliseum
    Brett Anderson vs. Felix Hernandez

Anderson, getting his first career Opening Day nod, is hoping the start is one of at least 30 he makes this season, following three injury-filled years. He was impressive in six starts last year after finishing Tommy John rehab, compiling a 2.57 ERA.
The Mariners ace makes his sixth Opening Day start and fifth against the A's and he's yet to lose any of those matchups. Hernandez is 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA in his Opening Day starts, 2-0 with a 1.71 ERA against the A's.

    Game #2
Tuesday, April 2, 7:05 PM PDT, O.co Coliseum
    Jarrod Parker vs. Hisashi Iwakuma

Parker: Parker, on the Opening Day roster for the first time in his career, is coming off a rookie campaign that included 13 wins and a Game 1 start in the American League Division Series. His walk totals have greatly decreased since the start of last year.
Iwakuma:The former Japanese standout pitched well after moving into the rotation last midseason and he's been strong this spring. Iwakuma is best when he's effective with his sinker, but was 0-2 with a 6.14 ERA against the A's last year.

    Game #3
Wednesday, April 3, 7:05 PM PDT, O.co Coliseum
    Tommy Milone vs. Joe Saunders

As a rookie last year, Milone led the A's in innings pitched (190) and compiled 13 wins in the process, spanning 31 starts. The finesse lefty walked just 36 batters for an average of 1.71 per nine innings, the second-lowest mark in the AL.
The 31-year-old southpaw joined the Mariners as a free agent this season and has struggled much of the spring, but the former Angels starter has had success against Oakland in the past (13-5, 3.39 ERA in 20 games).

    Game #4
Thursday, April 4, 12:35 PM PDT, O.co Coliseum
    AJ Griffin vs. Brandon Maurer

Griffin began 2012 in Double-A, but he finished in Oakland's starting rotation, going 7-1 with a 3.06 ERA in 15 starts, tossing at least six innings in nine of them. He was 3-0 with a 1.95 ERA in five starts against AL West competition.
Maurer makes his Major League debut as a 22-year-old who cracked the Mariners rotation with an excellent spring. The California native was the Southern League Pitcher of the Year for Double-A Jackson last season.

I noticed we don't have a game/series thread up yet so hopefully this will do for now.

    LETS GO OAKLAND!!!

...and thats game. I am tired of facing Felix every opening day. So much excitement that leads to disappointment lol. Oh well, I think we will win 2 of the next 3, if not all 3.

I feel bad for Oakland, this is the 4th year in a row that they had to start against Felix, and the 5th time total.
