If you have a problem with a sig, report the post and someone should be able to handle it. Personally when I see a provocative sig I tell the user to remove it. But sometimes I'll be in a rush or something and I forget to.

So reporting borderline sigs is key, and in my experience we usually err on the side of conservatism when deciding whether a sig should go or stay.

Hah - first thing that came to my mind as well. I love those sigs, but if I'm running this site I wouldn't allow anything sexual or NSFW at all. You've got to keep this stuff work friendly (I only go on during work occasionally for lunch or a break, but I can't have titties bouncing up and down if certain people are walking around). The cure is obviously to hide sigs - which I do - but it's less convenient than just regulating anything NSFW.

This was why the rule used to be stricter, and there was a broad consensus agreeing with you on this point at the time. It was also happening to people at work. I guess for the time being, turning off sigs is the only answer.

It entirely depends on the person's sig. The majority are fine, but there's a few out there that is borderline soft core porn.

IMO it's not the thing to put to a vote. It's major policy stuff that the owners if the site should decide on. They've already made it clear they don't want porn and this would clear up where the border is.
