Second race in two years that a ******** intentional caution cost Jeff Gordon a win. I hope they suspend Reutimann.

Poor Gordon. Leads 330 laps and gets the loss because Reutimann didn't pit. He's had good cars for most of the season and has little to show for it.

And he won't even be punished. They just call him to the hauler and tell him what he did was wrong. And really? The reasoning is needing to keep the car in the top 35 so precious Danica can be locked into a race when she gets in it, awful.

On the way home now... What a crock that was... Reutimann drove around the track limping knowing he had a problem for 6 laps and could have pitted on any of those laps costing HMS their 200th cup win. Stewart better congratulate that idiot they partnered up with to give them the shot at that win.

That would have been an amazing feat if Hendrick would have been able to swing a 1-2-3 to get his 200th win. They were the class of the field today.

I thought the ensuing restart was hilarious. My two least favorite drivers in one crash was quite enjoyable.

Not at all a fan or Jimmie, but if you call yourself a NASCAR fan you have to be pissed you didn't get to see those two race for their owners 200th win.

We were going to get a great finished and got screwed thanks to an idiot.

I am def. a NASCAR fan, and that was going to be 1 heck of a battle between them two. I dont see how anyone could say that they were happy to not see that battle at the end

There are definitely drivers I dont pull for, it has nothing to do with their accomplishments on the track, or how race or how they talk to the media, its because of a bad personal experience meeting the driver. But i dont wish bad luck on them at the end of a race esp. if they had a dominate car and were going to have a battle at the end of a race.

I think the biggest shame out of all of this is that the probably 7th or 8th best car won the race. Gordon dominated and Johnson clearly had a car better than anyone else sans Gordon. Newman just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and those victories are never fun for me as a fan. I'm not sure you can really say he deserved the W.

Blame Danica, she's the only reason he was still on the track. He was trying his hardest to finish the race to try and stay in the top 35. Because if she has to qualify at Darlington on time, she won't make the race, which probably isn't a bad thing for the other drivers.

She's not going to have any idea how to handle that track. Tony can coach her as well as he can and it will still be a very difficult adjustment for her.

As long as one of thr TBR cars are in the top 35, she will race. They can switch points with Blaney for a race if needed.
