Obviously as a fan of the Lions I'm going to choose Matt Stafford, if he can stay healthy. He put up some video game numbers last year (some of that can be attributed due to having CJ) and is only going to get better being only 24.

That said, Jay is no slouch and he showed us when he played for the Broncos he was capable of putting some impressive stats. If the Bears O-line keeps him upright and Marshall has his head straight we could see some big seasons from Jay coming up.

On that note *grabs popcorn and just observes*

stafford. he's only 24, and finally healthy and threw for over 5k yards with a broken finger during the season.

cutler's best year was 4526 yards with 25 td's and 18 ints his best passer rating 88.5
    staffords 1st healthy year, 5038 with 41 td's and 16 ints passer rating 97.2

ever since cutler went to chi he hasn't been the same qb. his best year to date was in denver. Now i understand cutler hasn't had much line help or wf's. But the question asked was who will have the better year.

Cutler has a stud of a running game with forte, if the Lions had any RB healthy staff's numbers would not have been so high. Bears philosophy is establish the run hence less passing from cutler. Lions are clearly a pass first team (padding stafford's numbers). That being said I think stafford will have a better year.

    If healthy, probably Stafford.

All in all, if the Panthers are going to select a QB, Gabbert has to be the pick.
    People take this guy seriously?

Stafford and it isn't close. Cutler has always had top10 potential. Stafford has top1 potential.

Stafford. It's true Jay Cutler doesn't have any real weapons, but that doesn't mean he can do what Stafford has done with Stafford's team.

Stafford has proven he can play like the best QB in the NFL, Jay Cutler has not, whether or not that's fair is a different story.

Depends. Stafford might not stay healthy. Cutler has always had the potential to be a top 5 QB in the NFL, but was put in a super ****** situation in Chicago.

Jay Cutler shot milky seed up into Kristin Cavilari. That's a crown jewel of a career moment not many others can hold up to.

    Scrap Detroit!!

Its hard to say...Stafford has only been able to stay healthy for one whole season right now so health plays a huge role. Also Id like to see Cutler this year with some better weapons this year.

But I dont think I can give my opinion because of coarse Im going to say Stafford.

    Props to StriveGreatness

Cutler was traded for Kyle Orton. That can't be a feather in anyone's cap. Stafford is the crown jewel of Mayhew's franchise. Sounds like NFL GMs have a pretty definitive answer to this debate.
