And Smith was sacked 44 times, so what? Compare the Jets WRs to the 49ers Wrs last year.

I'd like to see shanchez in a different system before I could make a good guess, but if they both stay with the same teams, I'd take Smith right now, based upon his trending up in performance.

Alex Smith had one solid year and has played in the NFL for what...seven seasons? I mean neither QB is great but Sanchez can make plays and has shown more potential in just three seasons than Smith has shown over seven. Yes, that's just my opinion but I'm sticking to it.

Not a big fan of Smith by any means, but to be fair, that's one more solid year than Sanchez has had, or probably will ever have.

Why isn't there a 'none of the above' option?

Looking at the stats side by side...I actually realize I was wrong.

This is Alex Smith by a lot more than I originally thought. Smith, when he has played has been MUCH better than Sanchez and has been on much worse teams up til this year. Not to mention, Smith has been in the league for 4 more years than Sanchez and is ONLY 2 years older at 27. Smith could still very well pan out to be a very good Qb as he showed great progress under Harbaugh last year. Sanchez mean while, regressed and is basically set up to fail this year.

I actually feel bad for Mark, he needs to get the hell out of NY if he ever wants to become a good QB in this league

Smith, "safer" pick. He proved he can be a smart QB that can not lose games. Sanchez has a higher ceiling, technically, but where Smith is at is higher than I think Sanchez will ever be.

Give me Mark since he is the only one of the two that can complete passes to WRs

    Thanks!

That means a lot, I've been told I "suck" at these sort of conversations, it's nice to know not everyone thinks so!
