a yr ago i would have been on this bandwagon call for david wright but considering his age and his salary i would have to pass. besides things worked out good when we had feliz and even with polanco the team is still strong. while placido's health is constantly an issue i think picking up a filler like wiggington is a good stop gap for the time being. in which case i just dont see wright being a good investment in terms of the next 5+ years

I know this Wright for Utley rumor sensation has been around a couple years now. Given the current status of the Mets and Utley's knee condition last season and this year again it makes ZERO sense for them when they are trying to rebuild the team.

There is a trade off More power versus better hitter and defense. :PHILS NEED POWER BIG TIME:
I wouldn't mind if the Phils added him and moved Polly to 2nd base until Chase gets back and then rotate all three since they all have injuries and problems.
It is not going to happen due to Money and why trade future to the METS and for injury prone guy.
I really want a left handed pure hitter to replace Utley after this year..One guy comes to mind Either if we could pull that off somehow someway that would be great..
If not look at Grady Siezmore at the trade deadline if Healthy and Cleveland is out of it
