No problem. No way I'm messing with your streak before we end the Penguins'.

Rangers are losing to Colorado in the third period. If they lose tonight, I think another team takes over the Atlantic division lead this week.

If they do lose tonight, then the best case scenario for New York after tomorrow is that two teams are within three points of them. After that the Flyers and Penguins get a couple of easier opponents while the Rangers have to face New Jersey and Detroit.

its really funny how the Flyers would really like to finish 1st or 6th, and thats about it. Finishing 4th or 5th is a terrible idea.

Well, 4th or 5th might not be so bad if the Rangers don't win the division.

Granted, we haven't done well against them this season, but right now, both teams look completely different and in all of those wins, the Rangers relied on exploiting our goaltending and defensive issues, which have become more of a strength than a weakness.

I'd still rather face Florida or Washington more than New York, but I'm not as concerned about avoiding them in the first round as I am with the Pens.

the way i see it, at some point, if the Flyers advance, they'll have to play these teams anyway.

if the Flyers go into the playoffs strong, they can hang with any team in the league. they gotta get healthy, and they gotta play 60 minutes. if they do those two things, they can play with anyone.

well if we finish 4th or 5th, you can pretty much guarantee we will be playing the Penguins, Devils, or Rangers in the first round. If you finish 1st or 6th, you'll probably play Florida, Washington, Winnipeg or Buffalo. Quite a difference.

I know its common sense that to win the cup, you'll have to play one of those teams divisional anyway in a later round. But the point is, a cup run is a lot easier when your first rounds goes well, so you can hit the second round running. And also with JVR back.

if the Flyers win today, 3 teams that are huge rivals will be within 3 points of first place in the East.

Jeez if we could of won just 2 games against the Rangers this year, we could be in first today

it's just been announced by Lavi that Bryz will start today.

Talbot (upper body injury) and Lilja (throat) have also been declared out for today's game.

Decent start to this one. Not surprising, but this one seems like it'll feel more like a playoff game than any other we've played this year.
